Leonardo DiCaprio to produce the screen adaptation of book The Sandcastle Empire!

It’s no secret that Leonardo DiCaprio takes environmental issues very seriously and regularly donates millions to charities that work to keep Earth safe.

Now Leo’s taking things one-step further by producing the screen adaptation of the young adult book The Sandcastle Empire, where natural disasters loom large. The book is set in 2049 when the Earth is at breaking point due to climate change, coastal flooding and overpopulation, and it centers on an evil radical faction that overthrows the government and takes control. Well, that’s one way to get the message out to Gen Next, right?!
