Salman Khan to reveal about 'Hawa Singh'!

Megastar Salman Khan disclosed the first look of the forthcoming biopic of Hawa Singh, who is widely regarded as the Father of Indian Boxing. The movie will feature Sooraj Pancholi.

"@sooraj9pancholi aces the look of a boxer in the biopic of legendary Hawa Singh is also known as the Father of Indian Boxing. Directed by Prakash Nambiar, produced by Sam S. Fernandes and Kamlesh Singh Kushwaha, Hawa Singh will go on floor soon," Salman posted.

Sooraj is all beefed up to look at his character and the actor is thrilled to start shooting for the movie, which goes on floor in February.

Hawa Singh is a recipient of the Arjuna Award and the Dronacharya Award. He dominated the Indian and Asian amateur boxing scene in his weight class for a decade.

Sooraj Pancholi is joining the trend of doing biopics after saying yes to a film that’s inspired by a real boxing legend.

The one-film old actor hasn’t revealed who the film is based on but he has let slip that it’ll have a rural setting and that he’ll have to learn a new dialect to play the protagonist. His little hints have led trade analysts to believe that the biopic will be about the Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh, who has also dabbled in politics and Bollywood. Watch this space for confirmation on that rumour!

Megha Akash has been roped in to romance Sooraj Pancholi’s soldier character in the travel film that will shoot in over 10 Indian states. While Megha is already a popular name down South because of her work in Tamil and Telugu cinema, this will be her first Bollywood film. Time will tell what sort of impression she makes!

After a few ad assignments, Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabelle Kaif is all set for her acting debut. As per a news in a famous tabloid, Isabelle has been signed up to essay the lead in a movie titled Time to Dance. The movie also marks the directorial debut of choreographer-filmmaker Remo D'souza's assistant director, Stanley D'Costa.

As per the hearsays, Isabelle will star opposite Sooraj Pancholi, who made his debut with Hero in 2015. The twosome is undergoing training to perfect their moves. A source revealed, "Isabelle had been waiting for a while for her launch and this film gives her the right platform. Sooraj has been practicing for a month, while Isabelle has joined him twice in the dance sessions."

As per to the media source, the makers plan to take the movie on the floors in May. When a tabloid contacted producer T Series, their representative told, "It's a bit premature to talk about anything."

Isabelle disclosed that she always wanted to be a performing artiste. "I started dancing as a kid, so I always wanted to be a performing artiste. I always had that creative side. Acting came little later and it actually came when I saw dancing in the films. That's when I knew that I always want to do this," she had revealed a leading media source.

Its throwback time for SRK and Kareena!

Celebs Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan share great equation with each other and their bond is decades old. In fact, Kareena's older sister Karisma too shared a close bond with SRK and they have worked together in movies like Dil To Pagal Hai and Shakti: The Power.

Now, we got our hands on a throwback picture of Shah Rukh and Kareena. The two were together on the sets of Sooraj Barjatya's Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. While the film starred Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead, it seems SRK dropped in on the sets to just say hi!

Khan and Bebo both had worked together in the 2001 film Asoka and since then their chemistry has been loved. In the photos, SRK and Kareena are seen having a hearty laugh as Sooraj Barjatya watches on. We wonder what are they discussing?!

Special CBI Court to frame charges against Sooraj Pancholi in the Jiah Khan suicide case!

Actress Jiah Khan suicide case grabbed eyeballs when Sooraj Pancholi was accused of abetting the suicide. Now, as per to a famous news agency, the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court is now likely to frame charges against the actor in the case.

This comes after the Supreme Court quashed the petition filed by Jiah's mother Rabia Khan that sought that the matter must be investigated by the Special Investigations Team. But, the court refused to intervene into the matter and upheld Bombay High Court's order.

She had moved the Supreme Court after the Bombay High Court rejected her plea seeking a SIT probe, on February 9, 2017. The CBI took over the probe from the Maharashtra police following the Bombay High Court's directives. Jiah's mother had moved the High Court, alleging her daughter had been murdered and demanded the CBI probe the matter. 

Previously this month, Sooraj had requested the court to expedite his trial in the case. Sooraj's lawyer Prashant Patil had opposed to the numerous adjournments in the case and had stated that it's been over a year and the matter is still pending at the stage of framing of charges with the prosecution yet to file any draft charges. Patil had even alleged that "the prosecution was not interested in conducting the trial but only cause undue delay” to harass Pancholi."

Jiah was found hanging at her Juhu residence on June 3, 2013. Her then boyfriend Pancholi was arrested by the police in a suicide abetment case filed against him by Jiah's mother. 

Sooraj Pancholi’s confession for being in a relationship!

Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi has finally admitted to being in a relationship.

During a communication with a famous magazine, the actor opened up about his relationship status. He specified, "I'm in a relationship. She's not from this industry. She's a nice girl. Well, guess the paparazzi haven't caught us yet."

He further added, "I always wanted my partner to be a simple person. She can do what she wants, wear what she wants, work wherever she wants. I wanted a simple soul and I guess I've found her."

He further spoke about how the time has changed and people have become defensive of him now. He told, "Now if there's one bad comment, there are 50 defending me. This kind of support makes it all worth it."

Sooraj went on to say how link-up story doesn't matter to him. He went on to add, "I don't mind being talked about where my life, work or even link-ups are concerned. If I've decided to be a celebrity, I know that it comes at a cost. But people should understand where to draw the line. I don't like it when my family is dragged into things."

He spoke about an incident which took place a few months back. Sooraj told, "I walked out of a restaurant with my sister Sana and the next day it was all over the media, 'Sooraj seen with a mystery girl'. That mystery girl was my sister. It’s not fair. They should have some protocol."

Salman again supports Sooraj for getting Puri’s next action-thriller!

Prabhu Dheva's Bollywood directorial debut, Wanted, marked a turning point in Salman Khan's career, becoming one of the first movies to make it to the Rs 100-crore club. The movie was an official remake of the Telugu hit, Pokiri, which was directed by Puri Jagannadh, who also wrote the story and screenplay of the Hindi adaptation.

As informed by a tabloid, Puri who is a huge Salman fan, has kept in touch with the actor since then. Previously, Puri disclosed that he had written an action-thriller with Bhai in mind. But Salman astonished him with the suggestion that he should take his Hero aka Sooraj Pancholi instead.

“Salman already has a packed slate of back-to-back projects lined up till the end of 2017 and has no dates to spare. So he advised Puri to write a commercial film along the lines of Wanted for his protégé Sooraj. For Salman, Sooraj is family. The two even partied together during Diwali when Salman was at a new resort in Goa with his family. He is a part of all his family gatherings and he wants the boy to get back into action, asap," told the source.

No Circus, only Mubarakan for Athiya Shetty now!

After Kangana and Parineeti opted out of Bosco Martis' directorial debut, Circus, recently Athiya Shetty has denied for the same. The movie stars Sooraj Pancholi in the lead and Suniel Shetty in a key role.

Previously it was informed, Athiya will be seen opposite her Hero actor Sooraj and will be sharing screen space with her father Suniel for the very first time. In a communication with a famous media agency, the fashionista denied the news telling, "It is not true. I have not signed anything like that. That has just never happened. In fact, it has not been approached to me."

In its place, she is presently preparing for Mubarakan, where she is signed opposite Arjun Kapoor. Speaking about it, she told, "I'm very excited for Mubarakan. I can't wait to start shooting. I can't wait to be on set. It's a really funny, crazy and mad wedding that everybody is invited to. While hearing the script I genuinely wanted to be a part of it because I wanted to see it as an audience. My character is a Punjabi girl, who is very simple but she has a side to her that adds chaos to the drama."

Sooraj Pancholi to become a part of Farhan Akhtar’s next production?

Actor Sooraj Pancholi, who made his Bollywood debut with Salman Khan's maiden movie production endeavor Hero in 2015, is seemingly going to star in Farhan Akhtar's next production.

Apparently, Farhan and his partner Ritesh Sidhwani (Excel Productions) have met the actor and discussed the project. Sources told that Sooraj is expected to ink the deal once he gets a narration of the script. Apparently, the movie is going to be helmed by debutant director Pierre Timmins.

In the meantime, Sooraj is preparing for Remo D'Souza's forthcoming dance movie which also stars Ajay Devgn. Sources further added that once Sooraj wraps up Remo's movie, he is expected to take up Farhan's project.

I'm not a star yet, says Sooraj Pancholi!

Sooraj Pancholi made his big Bollywood debut with Salman Khan's production endeavor Hero and while everybody had huge expectations from the film, it tanked at the box-office.

But, despite the film's outcome Pancholi has bagged his second project, which will also star Ajay Devgn. Sooraj has become a known face now but he still doesn't feel he has become a star.

At a latest magazine photo shoot, he told, ''I'm not a star yet, I'm working towards it. But I like shooting as it keeps me in that zone. I keep meeting my hair stylist and make-up artist and I like meeting them regularly.''

Ajay Devgn and Sooraj Pancholi join hands for an action-dance film!

Sooraj Pancholi, who had made his debut as an actor with Salman Khan's production endeavor Hero, has now bagged a T-Series project and we have informed that Pancholi will share screen space with none other than Ajay Devgn in this movie.

The movie will be seemingly helmed by Remo D'Souza and will feature gravity-defying dance sequences as well as high-octane action scenes. We all know that Devgn is not so good at dancing, so we are assuming that the deadly Devgn will stick to action while Sooraj will impress us with his dance moves.

Devgn will be next seen in his directorial venture Shivaay.

Sooraj Pancholi reveals his girlfriend’s qualities!

Sooraj Pancholi, who has been charged with abetting his girlfriend Jiah Khan's suicide, now desires a simple and smart girlfriend.

At a latest event, when questioned, what qualities does he want his girlfriend to embody, he told, ''She should be simple, she should have a good heart, she should be smart. Doesn't always really have to be pretty. Just a good person, that's it.''

Director Anubhav Sinha turns down Salman's request to cast Sooraj?

It was recently informed that Sooraj Pancholi has walked out of Anubhav Sinha's Tum Bin 2, a sequel to his 2001 hit movie Tum Bin but, now we hear that it was the latter, who didn't want the Hero star as his film's male lead.

Seemingly, despite being heavily recommended by Salman Khan, the director declined to cast Sooraj in his film. We hear that he wants to rope in fresh faces for the film.

Sooraj Pancholi spotted with new mystery girl!

While Bollywood break ups seem to be the flavor of the moment, looks like Sooraj Pancholi is testing waters in the sea of love. He was lately spotted at a restaurant on a dinner date with a mystery girl. When the reporters surrounded them, the mystery girl got into the car and ducked while Sooraj posed for a few photos outside the car.

They were accompanied by a friend and left the premises quite late. Sooraj was previously linked to Jiah Khan, who allegedly committed suicide in 2013 following a disturbed relationship with the young star kid.

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan, who is known for his good sense of humour took digs at his pupil Sooraj Pancholi when the latter broke down in tears at the trailer launch of his debut movie Hero, which is being produced by Salman.

When at the trailer launch event of the movie, when Sooraj was called upon the stage, the young lad broke down in tears and hugged Salman Khan, who did not seem shocked at all by this display of emotions. If this was not all, when introducing Sooraj and Athiya Shetty, Salman pointed at the crying Sooraj and joked, “Sooraj is the heroine of the film and Athiya is the hero of the film.” Must say that we were fairly taken aback by Salman's callous and sexist remark.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, Hero is slated to release on September 11 this year.
