Rajkummar Rao to play lead in an anthology set against pandemic!

Rajkummar Rao had given numerous remarkable performances and has worked with numerous first-rate filmmakers. As per latest media reports, he had wrapped the shooting of his next movie Bheed. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Bheed is hyped to be a social drama. While Bheed is yet to hit the screens, as per a latest media update, Rajkummar will soon be uniting with Anubhav Sinha once more.

As per a report in a daily, the actor-director duo will be come together for an anthology that is set against the pandemic. “When Anubhav shared the premise of his short film with Raj, it resonated with him. The director felt Raj is someone who connects with the movie on a personal level. Casting is key for Anubhav, and he almost always knows from the get-go who he is envisioning in the role. He felt Raj was the perfect choice for the part,” a source was quoted saying.

For the information, this anthology, which is produced by Anubhav Sinha, will feature short films by Sudhir Mishra, Hansal Mehta and Ketan Mehta and other filmmakers.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One is one of the first superhero movies Bollywood witnessed. Together with SRK, the movie starred Arjun Rampal in the titular role that is the main antagonist. The movie released in the year and since then there have been numerous reports making the rounds about the sequel to the movie.

Earlier, Shah Rukh disclosed that he will come up with a sequel to Ra.One and with a better version. Now, the director of the superhero movie Anubhav Sinha disclosed during a media chat with an agency about the sequel.

He specified, "Neither of us has written it off. Shah Rukh Khan and I keep talking about it. But it needs one catalyst. It'll come either from him or me. Then we will get started. Every time we both meet, we talk about it, let's do this. But nothing exciting enough has happened so far."

Sinha also revealed, "I have given it a serious thought, maybe on a long flight. Where can it go, what it could do and the possibilities of a story? There have been ideas but none exciting enough for me to sit down and punch it in. So let's see."

I am affected by demonetization but 'Tum Bin 2' won't suffer, says Anubhav Sinha

Director Anubhav Sinha tells he is facing issues as far as cash is concerned in his personal life, but he is sure his upcoming release "Tum Bin 2" won't hurt due to the demonetisation move by the government.

"Like any commoners, I am affected by demonetisation, but I am hopeful about my film. It won't suffer at the box office. As a major amount has been recovered, now I am looking forward to a good weekend collection," Sinha said.

"Tum Bin 2", produced by T-Series, is releasing on Friday. It is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 14.5 crore, containing the cost of production as well as print and publicity. Interestingly, the movie is said to have already recovered Rs 12 crore from its music, satellite and digital rights sale.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to scrap Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes has affected ticket sales of movies.

Asked about his opinion about the government's decision, Sinha told, "I don't have enough knowledge to comment on that, or analyse the bigger picture. However, like common people, I am also facing problem with hard cash and note exchange."

Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha team up for 'Tum Bin 2' with new starcast!

Previously, Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha had teamed up for Tum Bin, a movie starring Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sandali Sinha, Himanshu Malik, and Raqesh Vashisth, which went on to become a hit at the box-office and the twosome is coming together once again after 15 years for Tum Bin 2.

Starring Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati who will be make his debut with the movie, Tum Bin 2 will be completely shot in Scotland in the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh and will go on floors from April 4, 2016. Written and directed by Sinha, Tum Bin 2 will have music composed by Ankit Tiwari and lyrics by Manoj Muntashir.

Tum Bin 2 will hit the silver screen on 18th November 2016.

Yup, Ratna Sinha is going to make her debut behind the camera with a film that’ll be produced by her husband. Insiders tell me the untitled project will be a romantic thriller, and Ratna is already in talks with Rajkummar Rao to play the protagonist. Director Anubhav Sinha turns down Salman's request to cast Sooraj?

It was recently informed that Sooraj Pancholi has walked out of Anubhav Sinha's Tum Bin 2, a sequel to his 2001 hit movie Tum Bin but, now we hear that it was the latter, who didn't want the Hero star as his film's male lead.

Seemingly, despite being heavily recommended by Salman Khan, the director declined to cast Sooraj in his film. We hear that he wants to rope in fresh faces for the film.
