After much speculation, and even a brief period where he seemed to have exited the project, Paresh Rawal officially confirmed his re-entry into Hera Pheri 3. He recently stated that all initial hurdles and "fine-tuning" between the creative team, including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and director Priyadarshan, have been resolved. This news alone sent waves of joy through the massive fanbase of the cult comedy.

Suniel Shetty's Reassuring Update: "Log Sirf Hasne Hi Hasne Waale Hain"

Reacting to Paresh Rawal's confirmation, Suniel Shetty, who plays the beloved character of Shyam, shared his excitement and offered a reassuring glimpse into the film's core essence. During a recent interaction, Shetty expressed his happiness that the "fine-tuning" has been completed and hinted that the team is now fully focused on bringing the magic back to the big screen.

What truly resonated with fans was Shetty's promise about the film's nature. He emphasized that Hera Pheri 3 will stay true to its roots as a quintessential "family entertainer." He stated, "Ye family ki film hai. Shayad wo ek film jahaan aap sab milke ek saath dekh sakte ho. Agar ek baar aap TV chaalu kar dete ho to uske baad aapko tension lene ki zarurat nahi hai, sharmaane ki zarurat nahi hai. Aapko pata hai ki log sirf hasne hi hasne waale hain. Chhup ke TV ya mobile phone dekhne ki zarurat nahi hai. Parivaar se chhupa ke nahi. Waisi hi filmein hum banate hain."

(This is a family film. Perhaps it's one of those films that you can all watch together. Once you turn on the TV, you don't need to worry or feel embarrassed. You know people are just going to laugh and laugh. There's no need to watch it secretly on TV or your mobile phone. Nothing to hide from the family. These are the kinds of films we make.)

This statement from Suniel Shetty underscores the commitment of the team to deliver a wholesome, laugh-out-loud comedy that can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages, just like the iconic first two installments, Hera Pheri (2000) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006).

The Return of Baburao: Is Paresh Rawal's Hera Pheri 3 Saga a PR Play? Fans Can't Keep Calm!

The rollercoaster ride that has been the casting of Hera Pheri 3 has taken another dramatic turn, with veteran actor Paresh Rawal officially confirming his return as the iconic Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. After weeks of speculation, reported exits, legal notices, and fan anguish, the news has sent ripples of excitement and, for some, suspicion across social media. The internet is abuzz with the classic dialogue, "Mereko toh aise dhak dhak ho raha hai!", as fans grapple with whether this saga was a genuine creative struggle or a masterclass in pre-release publicity.

The Tumultuous Journey to 'Babu Bhaiya's' Return

For months, the fate of Hera Pheri 3 seemed as uncertain as Raju's (Akshay Kumar) next get-rich-quick scheme. The much-anticipated sequel, which aims to reunite the beloved trio of Raju, Shyam (Suniel Shetty), and Baburao, faced significant hurdles. Reports emerged of Paresh Rawal's departure due to creative differences and issues with the script and contract. This led to widespread disappointment among fans, who simply couldn't imagine a Hera Pheri film without Baburao's inimitable charm and hilarious antics.

Adding fuel to the fire, there were even reports of legal tussles, with Akshay Kumar's team allegedly sending a notice to Rawal. This escalation further deepened the mystery, leaving many to wonder if the project was truly in jeopardy.

Paresh Rawal Confirms His Comeback: "Everything is Resolved Now"

In a recent podcast with Himanshu Mehta and in statements to various media outlets, Paresh Rawal finally put an end to the speculation. He confirmed his return, stating that all issues have been resolved. Rawal emphasized the importance of doing justice to a franchise so dearly loved by the audience, highlighting the responsibility that comes with it. He clarified that his earlier stance was not due to creative disagreements with director Priyadarshan, but rather a need for "fine-tuning" among the team.

"There's no controversy. What happens is that when something is loved by so many people, we have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility towards the audience," Rawal stated, stressing the need for hard work and sincerity to deliver a worthy film. This confirmation has brought immense relief to fans who were disheartened by the prospect of a Baburao-less Hera Pheri 3.

Was It All a Publicity Stunt? Netizens Weigh In

While the news of Rawal's return is undoubtedly joyous for fans, a significant section of netizens can't shake off the feeling that this entire dramatic episode might have been a cleverly orchestrated publicity stunt. The abrupt exit, the legal notices, and then the sudden, harmonious return – it all seems a bit too convenient for some.

Social media is rife with comments reflecting this sentiment:

"Why am I suspecting that you will be a part of that film and everything is a PR?" commented one user, perfectly summing up the skepticism.

Another netizen sarcastically remarked, "Okay so now this confirms 100% that it's all been a publicity stunt which will come to an end by Paresh tweeting 'Yeh toh Baburao ka style hai'."

Many pointed out the strong off-screen bond between Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, suggesting they wouldn't let a film feud damage their relationship. "Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are not stupid. They have been in the industry for 30+ years. And they are thorough professionals. Even if there was a case, it would not be in public this fast. These are just for PRs," a Reddit user commented.

The constant back-and-forth, the heightened media attention, and the ultimate reunion have undoubtedly generated massive buzz around Hera Pheri 3. Whether intentional or not, the "controversy" has kept the film in the headlines, piquing audience interest and anticipation."

The 'Dhak Dhak' Continues

Regardless of whether it was a genuine conflict or a calculated marketing move, one thing is certain: the return of Paresh Rawal as Baburao has ignited a fresh wave of excitement. The iconic trio is set to reunite, promising another dose of their timeless comedic chemistry.

As the internet continues to buzz with memes and discussions, echoing Baburao's unforgettable line, "Mereko toh aise dhak dhak ho raha hai!", the anticipation for Hera Pheri 3 has reached an all-time high. Now, all eyes are on the filmmakers to deliver a script and execution that lives up to the immense legacy of the Hera Pheri franchise. Fans are ready, their hearts a-thumpin', hoping this much-awaited sequel brings nothing short of pure comedic gold.

Ranbir Kapoor, Paresh Rawal
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has been going gaga over his son Ranbir Kapoor's first-rate act as Sanjay Dutt in his biopic, Sanju, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani.

In a media chat with a daily, Rishi Kapoor talked fondly about Ranbir as well as how big of a fan he is of Hirani. Rishi Kapoor revealed, "I had heard, I was pleasantly surprised by Ranbir’s performance as Sanjay Dutt. It was subtle, sincere and so accurate. I salute Rajkumar Hirani, who is one of my favourite filmmakers. When Munnabhai MBBS released, I was one of the first to go to his home in Bandra East to compliment him. From that time on, I’ve always been a huge fan of the man. Besides Ranbir, I was impressed with Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal. I was actually looking to speak to Vicky, but I am told he is in Serbia."

Talking about how Ranbir has made Neetu Kapoor and him proud, Rishi Kapoor specified, "But I have never voiced my views because Ranbir and I have a pact. I have never interfered in his career, I never will. Even 20 days before Sanju released, there were a few naysayers who did raise doubts on whether it would work and if Ranbir would be able to pull off his act as Sanjay, who is a larger-than-life-superstar. However, now that the film is here and things have worked out, I’m happy. The box office is the ultimate validation."

In the meantime, Sanju is doing great business at the box-office and will soon cross the Rs 200 crore mark.

Paresh Rawal was destined to play Sunil Dutt?

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who turned a year older recently, is all set to play the role of the late Sunil Dutt in the movie "Sanju", a biopic of Sanjay Dutt. He feels he was fated to essay the role.

He tells he had once received a letter on his birthday, and it was penned by Sunil Dutt, father of actor Sanjay Dutt on whose life the Rajkumar Hirani directorial is based.

Paresh told in a statement: "There is a very special connection of Sunil Dutt with me. Back in 2005 on the May 25, I was doing some patchwork in Mumbai for 'Deewane Huye Paagal', I went to a hotel as I landed from the US to make a call to my home when my wife Swaroop said Dutt saab had sent me a letter. I asked 'Whose?' She said, 'Sunil Dutt saab'. I was like, 'Why would he write a letter to me?'. She said, 'For your birthday'. I said my birthday is on May 30, why would he write a letter five days before. Straight cut to January 2, 2017, when I was at the narration of 'Sanju' at Rajkumar Hirani's house, I got a call from Swaroop asking me what to do of the letter of Dutt saab in the drawer... amazing connection. I asked her if the letter was still there? Earlier you would get birthday letters, which you would eventually clear. However, for over 12 years, the letter stayed in my drawer. This is the connection... I think I was destined to play Sunil Dutt."

Paresh Rawal loves PM Narendra Modi and want to enact him!

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has some exciting films ahead. The actor will be working with Rajkumar Hirani for the first time in Sanjay Dutt's biopic. He will also depict PM Narendra Modi in the Modi's biopic.

About Sanjay Dutt's biopic, he said a tabloid, "I think I’m blessed that my desire to work with Rajkumar Hirani has been fulfilled. Then, I got to play someone like Sunil Dutt and the cherry on the cake was working with Ranbir Kapoor."

About his part as Sunil Dutt in the biopic, he revealed, "First of all, he’s been my favourite actor and human being. I have met him two or three times. The first time, a friend of mine had some cancer-related issue, so we went to meet Dutt Saab. Then, after the Bombay riots in 1992-93, a token fast had been organised, in which both of us had participated. He had to deal with a lot of things — his wife’s illness, his son going adrift — but in spite of that, he was a dignified man. When your character and values are good, only then can you carry on like that. The only other person who comes to my mind when I think about all this is (Amitabh) Bachchan Saab. Despite facing so many hurdles in his life, he never had a bad word to say about anyone. God was with him. You get to learn a lot from people like them."

Paresh Rawal will also be doing a biopic on PM Narendra Modi. He disclosed that the script is ready. "Yes, we are making it. The script is almost locked. There are one or two issues yet to be resolved, then we will move ahead with it", revealed Pareshji.

He further revealed, "Only I can play Modi. I say that even at the cost of sounding pompous because I really love him. Baat samajh mein aati hai unki (I understand whatever he says). I have observed him a lot. I am also acting in a film on the 2016 Uri attack, where I play the role of National security advisor Ajit Doval. We have been talking about who should play Modi in that. I said just by sporting a white beard, someone can’t be Modi on screen. Aankhon ka power aur anguish hai Modi. People have tremendous faith and trust in him. They know this man is right. Some mistakes might happen lekin accha kaam karte karte galti ho rahi hai (Mistakes happens while doing a good work)."
