Although she did not state the reason of death in her essay, Emilia reportedly told a tabloid that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer in April. The actor died in a hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, seven months later. 

On Instagram, she shared a black-and-white photo of herself with the late actor. In the photo, he is smiling and looking at the camera as she kisses his cheek. He died on Friday, November 15, Emilia revealed in the caption.

Emilia called on him, “The most loving, self-disciplined, driven, inspirational, and thoughtful," person. She said that he was her “soulmate, my soon-to-be husband, my rock, and my future.”

She went on to say that the departed celebrity gave her butterflies in her stomach, excitement in her lungs, and love in her heart. Emilia claimed that although her fiancé fought bravely and consistently, he left her very fast. 

She disclosed that although she lost a part of herself with him, she promised to work as hard as he did to live each day in search of happiness.
