Fatima Sana Shaikh divulges being diagnosed with epilepsy during film Dangal shoot!

Fatima Sana Shaikh divulges being diagnosed with epilepsy during film Dangal shoot!

Fatima Sana Shaikh rose to fame in the biographical sports drama film Dangal, starring Aamir Khan, as Geeta Phogat. The audience already knows how much effort the entire cast put into portraying the characters in the movie. But during filming, did you know that the young girl had been diagnosed with epilepsy?

In a media discussion, Fatima Sana Shaikh was open about her diagnosis of epilepsy. She said she found out about it while filming Dangal. At first, she was in denial and would not accept that she had a neurological disease. As a result, she did not take any medication. “I was scared I might have an episode in front of people,” "There are many stigmas associated with epilepsy," she told.

The Dhak Dhak actress further revealed, “I would get seizures once or twice a week, and the anxiety before events was overwhelming.” Speaking more about the condition, she said flashing lights are known to trigger epilepsy, even if they don't always cause seizures. She eventually stopped attending screenings and events because of her dread. But in the end, she decided to inform the paparazzi about my predicament, and they were kind and respectful of her decision. The shutterbugs would take care not to use flashlights while she was close. “Sometimes, my colleagues wouldn’t understand, but the paparazzi did,” she revealed expressing her gratitude to the media.

In an interview with the magazine, Fatima stated that she just cannot shoot on some days. Sometimes her attacks require shootings to be canceled, and on other days her headaches are so awful that she is unable to work. She did admit, though, that her erratic medication use could lead to additional seizures. “I didn’t want to take medicines; I was fighting not just with people, but also with the medication itself. I thought I didn’t need them to live a normal life,” the actress disclosed.

Professionally, Metro In Dino will include Ul Jalool Ishq and Fatima Sana Shaikh next.

Film Dangal Music Review: Its soundtrack is situational with rustic and comic falvour!

Film Name: Dangal
Release Date : 23 December 2016
Banner : Disney India Studio, Aamir Khan Productions
Producer : Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Siddharth Roy Kapur
Director : Nitesh Tiwari
Cast : Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Sakshi Tanwar, Suhani Bhatnagar, Zaira Wasim, Aparshakti Khurrana, Ritvik Sahore, Girish Kulkarni
Music Director : Pritam Chakraborty
Lyricist : Amitabh Bhattacharya

After the smash hit soundtrack of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Pritam as the composer and Amitabh Bhattacharya as the lyricist, now both music genius are coming together for a totally different stage and setting in the form of Dangal. This is where the creativity factor comes in as the team showcases its expertise over the music and words all over again.

1. Haanikaarak Bapu:

The album starts with song Haanikaarak Bapu. Music world’s new talent Sarwar Khan and Sartaz Khan Barna comes together to sing this song. The song was released almost a month ago and has gained distinction over the weeks gone by. It is as rustic as it gets and what sets it apart from the rest are the kind of lyrics that Amitabh has penned for it. It is a hit song.

2. Dhaakad

The next song is Dhaakad which is sung first by Raftaar and later by Aamir Khan. A Haryanvi rap track which has its bearings in the kind of numbers that Baadshah has sung over the last couple of years, this one establishes its uniqueness. The music is subtle instead of going over the top.

3. Gilehriyaan

The next song is Gilehriyaan which is rendered by Jonita Gandhi. The song has a sweet sounding quality to it and you can't help but hum it along while it plays. While the flavor of almost the whole soundtrack of Dangal carries a Haryanvi flavor to it, this one has a non-film appeal to it and carries a jingle feel.

4. Dangal by Daler Mehndi

The very next song is the title track Dangal by Daler Mehndi and one ends up wondering why this wasn't placed right at the beginning of the album. This one makes a very good impression in the very first listening and that is also because portions from it have already been heard as a part of the film's promo. A theme song that lends a lot of weight to the film. It has an anthem track!

5. Naina

The next one is Arijit Singh’s Naina, a song that could well have made its entry in any other film as well since it doesn't seem to be specifically designed for Dangal. A pathos filled song that has Arijit excelling as a singer all over again, this one is straight out of the territory of Pritam and benefits further from Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics.

6. Idiot Banna

The album concludes with a situational track, Idiot Banna. Crooned by Jyoti Nooran and Sultana Nooran, it would be pretty much picked by those who liked the kind of music that Tanu Weds Manu Returns had to offer. This one should look good on screen, considering the kind of fun lyrics that have been put together by Amitabh.

Full Dangal Music Album:

In general, the soundtrack of Dangal is mainly situational with some comic elements. The songs Haanikaarak Bapu, Dangal, Naina, Gilehriyaan are tuneful and situational numbers.

I look like a waiter compared to Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, tells Aamir Khan!

Aamir Khan starrer 'Dangal' has NO songs?

Aamir Khan is known as Mr Perfectionist for a reason. He only releases a film in a year and he makes sure that he has given it his all before it is released. His most ambitious film in recent times is Dangal, which is based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Phogat. The movies promises to be surely different in all aspects. Possibly it will also be unique in the music department.

There are reports that there won’t be any songs in Aamir Khan’s next, Dangal. In its place, it will have just have one promotional song featuring him and his on-screen daughters played by Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra.

But, a source tells that it’s not true. “Pritam has recorded a few songs for the movie. Once the talkie portions get over, they will start shooting the songs. There are situational, background songs in the film. It was quite a challenge for the music director to compose the songs as the film is different from what he has done before.” The other forthcoming movies that Pritam has given music to are Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Raabta and Jagga Jasoos.

So even if there are song, they will all be background scores, which still makes it very different from most Bollywood movies. In the meantime, Aamir has lost all the weight that he had been putting on to play the older version Mr Phogat and developed a really ripped physique for the younger version of the wrestler. From the efforts the actor is putting, it is clear that Dangal is going to be phenomenal.
