The golden era of South Indian remakes is still going
strong.
Now the producer Vikram Malhtotra is in the process of
acquiring the rights to the horror thriller Bhaagamathie. The original movie
centred on an IAS officer who is being interrogated in a haunted house before
things take a dark turn when she’s possessed by a spirit. Vikram is already in
talks with Bhumi Pednekar to play the central character, while R Madhavan might
come aboard as the movie’s antagonist. That would be quite a tagda matchup,
don’t you think?
