The producers of Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey remake are on the
hunt for the film’s leading lady.
The director Gowtham Tinnanauri had originally wanted his
fellow South Indian A-lister Rashmika Madanna to make her B-town debut in the
sports drama but was unable to agree on a fee with her. Now I hear Mrunal
Thakur might come aboard to play Sasha’s supportive wife and mother to their
child who is also the sole breadwinner at home before he makes his comeback as
a cricketer. If that’s true then this will be another biggie for Mrunal after
Super 30, Batla House and Toofan!
