Akshay Kumar is happy for uniform again!

Superstar Akshay Kumar is all set to play the role of a police officer in the fourth installment of Rohit Shetty's Police Universe. Rohit Shetty began his cop series with Ajay Devgn starrer Singham. After Singham, Rohit Shetty directed another film titled Simmba starring Ranveer Singh as the new age cop and introduced Akshay Kumar's character for his forthcoming Sooryavanshi where Akshay Kumar will be seen essaying the titular role.

The shooting for Sooryavanshi has begun already. Recently, Akshay expressed his delight on being associated with the movie. The actor has played many such roles where he has stepped into the shoes of an army officer, navy officer, DIA officer, soldier and now once again he is all set to reprise his cop image with as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi.

Akshay disclosed that the film has everything over the top as usually seen in Rohit Shetty movies. Sooryavanshi too will be larger than life, promising a high dose of action. The actor is returning to a hardcore action script after a long spell and he seems elated to be a part of the action entertainer after such a long time.
