Bollywood’s action hero John Abraham is one of those stars
in the industry, who do a movie only if the story thrills them, and are not
afraid of failures or criticisms. He has not only told that he likes to
experiment with his movies but has time and again, proved it as well. After his
latest movie, Parmanu worked extremely well at the box office, John spoke about
his personal life, his movie choices, future ventures, etc., in a media a chat
with a daily.
When quizzed about his unconventional movie choices, and
what does he think when he begins a new movie, John revealed, "I cannot
make formula films. What I do is when I choose a subject, I say ‘Hey, it’s
difficult, how am I going to pull it off?’ Then I smile and decide ‘Then I’m
going to do it!’ (laughs) — because it’s very clear that if it’s difficult and
practically impossible to pull off, then I’ll do it, because I like
non-formula. I have no fear of failure. At the most, what... I’ll fail, right?
But people will say, ‘He attempted what normally people won’t attempt.’ I will
keep doing that, till the industry permits me."
John revealed that his preferred genre is comedy, but as a
producer, he is not well-equipped to bring about comedy movies like Welcome
Back or Housefull 2. He said that it is important to do all kinds of movies as
an actor.
