Veteran actor Sridevi starrer MOM's trailer is finally out
and it has left us all confused. What is MOM all about? What is Sridevi seeking
in the film? Nothing is clear and that is what perhaps makes the trailer all
the more exciting!
The film appears to be some sort of thriller and in bits and
pieces gives us the vibes of Vidya Balan's Kahaani.
The trailer starts with Sridevi and her daughter sharing
some family moments and takes a u-turn with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye
Khanna adding spice with their character. It is hard to tell what is Sridevi
looking for and why is Nawaz helping her? Why is Akshaye Khanna suspecting her?
There are numerous questions and answers to none! What
really raised our curio level was the last dialogue where Sajal Ali, who essays
Sridevi's daughter, asks her why didn't she tell everybody that she is not her
daughter.
After seeing the trailer, we are assuredly up for some
nail-biting thriller.
Sridevi looks unquestionably energetic while Sajal as her
daughter fits the role appropriately. Nawaz's character is commendable and
Akshaye looks dapper as the detective.
The film also marks the comeback of Sridevi after 5 years.
MOM has been produced by Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor and is directed by Ravi
Udyawar. The movie also stars Akshaye Khanna, Sushant Singh, Amrita Puri and
Raj Zutshi.
MOM is all set to release in the theatres on July 7, 2017.
