In an ill-fated turn of events, the industry lost one resourceful
actor - Reema Lagoo. She passed away at the age of 59 after suffering from
cardiac arrest. Listening about this huge loss, the whole industry was mourning
and Twitter was flooded with messages offering condolences.
She will be recalled for her role in flicks like Hum Saath
Saath Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kal Ho Na Ho amongst others and TV shows like
Tu Tu Main Main and Shrimaan Shrimati.
Reemaji was last seen in Mahesh Bhatt's Naamkarann wherein
she essayed the role of an obsessive and conservative mother Dayawanti Mehta.
All the co-stars were present to pay her the last respect.
Today, it's late Reemaji's birthday. As a mark of honour and
respect for Reemaji, Naamkarann's Sayantani Ghosh took to Instagram to wish her
and posted, "Happy bday reemaji..wherever you are now wishing u lotsa love
..#life#truth#reality."
She also posted a picture from the sets of Naamkarann
wherein Reema ji is standing next to Mahesh Bhatt and smiling. Looking at the
picture, it does make us miss her even more.
Previously, speaking to us, Sayantani told, "Words
can't express what I feel. It's numbness of another kind. Shall always remember
her fondly.. so many sweet memories."
Mahesh Bhatt had told, "The sudden death of a dear
friend hurls one into deep silence. She was a great actor and a greater human
being."
