Nawab Saif Ali Khan had no movies
in 2016 and this year, he is all set to have four releases including Rangoon, Kalakandi,
Chef and Baazaar. Lately, the first poster of Baazaar was disclosed
and Saif looked intriguing in it.
Now, as per a famous tabloid, Saif might team up with Nikkhil Advani
again post Baazaar. Yes, Advani has approached Saif for his forthcoming
directorial titled Batla House based on the famous Batla House encounter.
Speaking about it, a source specified to the tabloid,
"Nikkhil wanted an older, experienced actor to play the role of
Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma. He has already bounced the idea to Saif and he
has liked it."
When Saif was questioned about it, the actor confirmed telling,
"We haven’t signed anything yet. We are talking about it. But I’m still
sinking into Baazaar. Once I get comfortable, we will start talking about
it."
If Saif is on board for Batla House, we will see the actor
playing the role of a cop for the first time in his career. And, it will be
third outing of Saif and Nikkhil after Kal Ho Naa Ho and Baazaar.
Speaking about Baazaar, Chitrangda Singh will be essaying
the role of Saif's wife in the film. Nikkhil told to a tabloid, "I'm happy
that the cast is looking so exciting. We have Saif, Chitrangda, Radhika Apte
and Rohan Mehra (making his acting debut). The shoot has just begun and will be
wrapped up by mid-August while the film is slated for a December release.
Prachi has expressed interest in working with my production house but that is
for another project. As far as the role of Mandira in Baazaar is concerned,
Gauravv K Chawla, my director, came up with the idea of casting
Chitrangda."
