John Abraham’s shooting for Nikkhil Advani’s Batla House!


Dynamic hero John Abraham has begun shooting for Nikhhil Advani’s Batla House. John will be seen playing the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav who headed the notorious 2008 Batla House Encounter case. John is uniting with Nikkhil in this film after ten years. Both of them had worked together in Salaam-E-Ishq, which also featured Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan. Nikkhil took to Instagram to share the news of the beginning of shoot with a photograph of the cast of the film.

John had previously shared the poster of the movie which featured him in a police uniform. He captioned it as, “95 mins that took 8yrs to be resolved and changed his life forever.” The story of India’s most Decorated/Controversial Cop. #BatlaHouse"

John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani team up again for Batla House!

After a gap of 10 years, actor John Abraham is all set to team up again with director Nikkhil Advani for his next venture Batla House. Nikkhil had last directed him in Salaam-E-Ishq, which also starred Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan.

Bhushan Kumar has also come onboard for the movie. Talking about the movie, John revealed, “I have always been drawn to the intrigue and drama that real life offers — small events, big ones or a human experience that resonates with a larger reality. Batla House is on point with this pursuit. I’m almost obsessed with it. I am aware of Nikkhil’s talent, but more than that, I am sure of his intent. Satyameva Jayate has started a relationship that has been wonderful between Emmay and JA Entertainment. We will work day and night to make a special film. Bhushan Kumar and our studio partner, T-Series, understand our vision and I am hoping this partnership is the beginning to many more.”

The movie goes on floors in September and will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow and Nepal.

Saif Ali Khan will be a cop in Nikkhil Advani's Batla House?

Nawab Saif Ali Khan had no movies in 2016 and this year, he is all set to have four releases including Rangoon, Kalakandi, Chef and Baazaar. Lately, the first poster of Baazaar was disclosed and Saif looked intriguing in it.

Now, as per a famous tabloid, Saif might team up with Nikkhil Advani again post Baazaar. Yes, Advani has approached Saif for his forthcoming directorial titled Batla House based on the famous Batla House encounter.

Speaking about it, a source specified to the tabloid, "Nikkhil wanted an older, experienced actor to play the role of Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma. He has already bounced the idea to Saif and he has liked it."

When Saif was questioned about it, the actor confirmed telling, "We haven’t signed anything yet. We are talking about it. But I’m still sinking into Baazaar. Once I get comfortable, we will start talking about it."

If Saif is on board for Batla House, we will see the actor playing the role of a cop for the first time in his career. And, it will be third outing of Saif and Nikkhil after Kal Ho Naa Ho and Baazaar.

Speaking about Baazaar, Chitrangda Singh will be essaying the role of Saif's wife in the film. Nikkhil told to a tabloid, "I'm happy that the cast is looking so exciting. We have Saif, Chitrangda, Radhika Apte and Rohan Mehra (making his acting debut). The shoot has just begun and will be wrapped up by mid-August while the film is slated for a December release. Prachi has expressed interest in working with my production house but that is for another project. As far as the role of Mandira in Baazaar is concerned, Gauravv K Chawla, my director, came up with the idea of casting Chitrangda."
