The great success of Baahubali is known to the
world. The lavishly mounted two-part movie is awaiting the release of its
second installment, Baahubali: The Conclusion, on April 28.
Now according reports in a tabloid, Baahubali's
director SS Rajamouli is set to start a trilogy based on the
Mahabharata. According to a source close to the development, the
filmmaker, “couldn't stop raving about the Mahabharata at an event lately, confessing
that he was planning a movie on a huge scale, using virtual reality extensively
and recreating the epic with modern graphics."
According reports, the movie will go under scripting stage
in 2018 and will be made over 5-6 years on a budget of INR 400 crore. The movie
is said to be shot in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. “This time,
Rajamouli plans to cast actors from the Hindi film industry as well as South
stars,” the source further added.
