Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj joins Bard’s bash!

Vishal Bhardwaj has been invited to commemorate the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death by the British Council, British Film Institute and Sir Ian McKellen.

The trio will honour the Bard in an initiative called Shakespeare on Film, which will showcase adaptations on the playwright’s works from around the globe. The initiative kicks off with a 2-day fest in London this April that’ll include Vishal’s Maqbool, Omkara and Haider before it takes off around the world. We’re all proud of Vishal for making the cut!
