Ekta Kapoor doesn’t know about investment in Sonam-Kareena starrer Veere Di Wedding!

Film Veere Di Wedding has been in the news ever since it was pronounced. The film will see Sonam Kapoor starring along Kareena Kapoor Khan. It will also stars Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. The movie is being directed by Shashanka Ghosh and will be Sonam Kapoor's sister, Rhea Kapoor's first production endeavor. 

The film was supposed to begin its shoot in 2016 but because of Kareena's pregnancy, the shooting had to be postponed. After that Kareena welcomed son Taimur Ali Khan and was on a maternity sabbatical. 

After that, there was another controversy regarding the title of the film. There is another film titled Veerey Ki Wedding which stars Jimmy Sheirgill and debutante Diljott. Sonam's father Anil Kapoor wrote to the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPAA) stating that they had first registered the title. But, Veerey Ki Wedding had already acquired a trademark for their title.

When Ekta Kapoor, who is a co-producer of the film was questioned about Veere Di Wedding by a famous daily, Ekta told that she was unsure if she is investing in the film. She told, "At this moment, I don't even know if I am investing in Veere or any other movie. As a producer, I have decided to only invest in movies that will pull the audience out of their homes to the theatres. Rs 200 is a lot of money to demand [for tickets]. The content has to be bang on to bring in the bucks."

She further added, "It needs to be a profitable venture [for me]. Eventually, it's a business."

Ever since the cast of the film Veere Di Wedding was finalized with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, everyone has been thrilled and is waiting for this movie to be made under Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s joint production. 

Following the news of Kareena’s pregnancy, there were rumors that she may opt out of the project. Then, the producers released an official statement confirming that the actress is still very much a part of the movie.

Speaking about Kareena's role in the movie, Anil Kapoor said a famous tabloid, "Kareena is to deliver her baby in December. Then, she will start working on her body, which is the information that Rhea (Kapoor; daughter) has given to me. So, we are working [on the film] accordingly. In fact, Bebo has threatened that she is going to look her best ever [in the film]. And as I know her, I am sure Kareena is going to look her best."

Anil also shared that the movie is about friendship. He told, “It’s about friendship, and I feel that in today’s world, besides your family supporting you, sometimes friendship can go beyond family. So that’s what the film is about."

The premiere of Koffee With Karan 5 is a few day away, the admirers are getting thrilled to know who will be on the guest list.

Here and now, as per a famous magazine, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor will be coming together on the show. The twosome, who will be seen together in Rhea Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding, have been hanging out together and are regularly talking on phone with each other.

As per the close sources, the fashion divas will be shooting for the show between October 27 and 29. Bebo, who is heavily pregnant now, will be in her eighth month and this show will be her complete TV appearance with her baby bump.

A source disclosed, "Sonam is a fashionista and Kareena has been making heads turn with whatever she has chosen to wear in the last few months so everyone is curious to see how these two push up the fashion quotient."
