Veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee is presently busy with the promotions of his forthcoming film, Aiyaary. In the film, the actor essays the role of an army officer. The movie also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet in lead roles.

Considered as one of the best actors in Bollywood, Manoj Bajpayee feels sad that acting is considered as the easiest profession in India. During a chat with a tabloid, he told, “If you are doing prosthetics then it is physically very torturous. It is mentally exhausting at times, especially when you do films like Aligarh and Gali Guliyan. Only a loonie guy can afford to go through that (referring to pain) again and again. We actors are known as loonies. To go through somebody else’s pain and feel that pain and misery for two months is not an easy thing. That is why I always say acting is the most difficult thing in the world, and sadly in our country, it is taken as the most easy thing.’’

He further told, “So the independent cinema is where we get to be a part of the real stories, characters. Those kind of performances are heavy.”

Speaking about his co-star Sidharth Malhotra, he revealed, ‘’Sidharth is a very receptive person, he wants to do good work. He is in competitive world of mainstream cinema. I don’t belong to that area... I sometimes go there, do some work and come back, to stay there and compete is a difficult thing. I have a lot of admiration for him,” he said.

Film Aiyaary is slated to release on February 9, 2018.

Akshay Kumar opens up about PadMan's clash with Aiyaary!

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan's trailer has received a lot of optimistic response. The movie is based on the concept of menstruation and importance of sanitary napkin for women. Directed by R Balki, the movie will be releasing on January 26, 2018.

On the same time, Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary will be releasing. The plot spins around two Indian army officers who have their own sets of principles and way of working. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the trailer of Aiyaary has also received a good response from the audience.

As stated by a media source, when Akshay was asked about PadMan and Aiyaary clash, he revealed, "Both the films are absolutely different. Neeraj is a dear friend of mine. There is nothing like clash. The word clash is media created. My film might get screened in 2,800 screens or so. Theirs would be in 1,600-1,800 or more. There are 4,000-5,000 screens so how come there is a clash. That film is different and so is ours. So there is no clash as such."

PadMan is produced by Twinkle Khanna and she did an extensive research on the story based on Arunachalam Muruganantham, the inventor of low-cost sanitary napkins for women in rural areas.

About PadMan, Akshay told, "The concept of Padman was Twinkle's and it is written and directed by R Balki. It is a very honest subject which we have brought in front of the Indian audience. It talks about sanitary pads and nobody ever spoke about it earlier. It is an attempt to tell what women go through."

Yes, I am worried, admits Sidharth Malhotra on Aiyaary's clash with 2.0!

Superstars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is one of the most awaited movies next year. The movie also marks Akshay Kumar's Tamil debut as an antagonist. The buzz around the movie doesn't cease to die with the distributors and trade pundits are expecting this to be one of the biggest openers next year. The movie is all set to release on January 25, 2018. 2.0 would be clashing with Sidharth Malhotra's movie Aiyaary which is slated to release the very next day - January 26, 2018.

Is Sidharth worried about the clash? At a communication recently, he told, "Yes, I think that is pretty unfortunate. But we don't know as yet. Actually, we have also not finished Aiyaary and even they haven't finished their shooting or their post. So, let's see we still have time. I have two other films to release, so I am more worried about that (laughs)."

Speaking about his film, he told, "Aiyaary is something which we are just about to finish. It's Neeraj Pandey who I love. He's always come up with good content and message driven films except probably the M.S. Dhoni movie, whether it be Baby, A Wednesday or Special 26."

He further added, "Aiyaary is going back to that zone. He's taking a nice take on our armed forces and the politics that happens there. It has a mentor and protégé that is, me and Manoj Bajpayee. We've shot in London, Kashmir and we will be shooting in Delhi again. Neeraj is a fabulous writer and director and I'm very excited for the film as you will get to see something new. So for the next 6 months (A Gentleman, Ittefaq, Aiyaary), you will get to see a buffet and variety from me."

Bollywood stars Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee were lately in Kashmir to shoot for their forthcoming movie Aiyaary directed by Neeraj Pandey. They wrapped up the shoot and came back to the city.

Now, the female lead of the movie is finalised and it’s none other than Yaariyaan's actress Rakul Preet. Speaking about it, a source disclosed to a daily, "Rakul Preet plays an IT professional, who is Sidharth’s love interest in the film, which is based on real-life events while Sidharth plays an army officer. After a brief break following the Kashmir schedule, the team will resume filming in Delhi."

The official Twitter page of Aiyaary confirmed the news by telling, "3rd Character in the #TeamAiyaary along with #Sid & #Manoj @Rakulpreet plays an IT pro! Does that make her a nerd?"

Aiyaary is based on a real-life incident revolving around two strong-minded army officers having contrary views yet right in their own ways. Manoj Bajpayee essays the mentor of protégé Sidharth Malhotra in the film.

The team will be heading to Delhi for their next schedule. And after that, they will be shooting in Mumbai, London and Oman. Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee will be seen teaming up for the first time in Aiyaary.

Talking about the Kashmir schedule of Aiyaary, a source stated to a leading daily, "It was humbling to witness the difficult conditions in which the jawans lived and the constant danger they faced. For the jawans too, interacting with Sid and Manoj and posing for pictures with them was a wonderful experience."

Bollywood stars Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee will be seen on screen for the first time in Aiyaary which is being directed by Neeraj Pandey. The film is based on a real incident involving two army officers. While Manoj will be seen as the mentor, Sidharth will be essaying his protégé and both are two strong-minded individuals who have totally different views but are right in their own way.

The team was in Kashmir for a quick seven-day schedule and as per a famous daily, they interacted with the locals as well as the army in the Valley. A source specified, "It was humbling to witness the difficult conditions in which the jawans lived and the constant danger they faced. For the jawans too, interacting with Sid and Manoj and posing for pictures with them was a wonderful experience."

They all had a smooth and safe filming experience in Kashmir. "Given the kind of films Neeraj and Friday Filmworks always make, people everywhere have faith that he will not misrepresent the locals or the state as a whole. The authorities were extremely supportive given the sensitivity of the story and the shooting locations and it was a wonderful experience for everybody involved," added the source.

The filmmaker is now in the outskirts of Delhi where they are shooting for the next three weeks and will then shoot in Mumbai, London and Oman, respectively.

Aiyaary is scheduled to release on January 26, 2017. The film will be clashing with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0.

Manoj Bajpayee is a prolific actor; I will gain, says Sidharth Malhotra!

Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra is set to star along with Manoj Bajpayee in Aiyaary which is being helmed by Neeraj Pandey. The film is an espionage thriller and is based on true events. In the movie, Sidharth plays a military intelligence officer and Manoj is his mentor.

When questioned to divulge some tidbits about Aiyaary, Sidharth said a famous news agency, "It's too early to get into the details of the look (of the character) and everything else related to the film. We are yet to start the shoot so I can't talk much."

Talking about Neeraj and Manoj, Sidharth told, "They (Neeraj and Manoj) are known for content-driven films. I think Special 26 was a great film with a twist. They make universally appealing films. Manoj Bajpayee is a prolific actor. I will gain by working with somebody like him."

He further added, "Neeraj is the most content driven director that we have today. He has wonderful stories that are relevant and have happened in reality. I am a big admirer of his films A Wednesday is the best thriller we have had. He had this script of mentor and protege with an army background for a while. It was a few months back that we met again and we were chatting about work and this film came up."

Aiyaary is scheduled to release on January 26, 2017, and will be clashing with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's movie 2.0.

The poster shows a sedan being driven by someone seated in the driver’s seat and a passenger at the back appears to be swinging a newspaper. The long sedan moving against the backdrop of army trucks adds a very intriguing touch to the picture.

Sidharth will be playing the role of an army intelligence agent in the film and is really excited to be a part of it.

Expressing his delight on being a part of it, the actor in a statement had told,“ I am really thrilled to work with Neeraj as he always brings an element of reality to his content. It is going to be very interesting, looking forward to start shooting.”

The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee and revolves around the relationship between a mentor and a student. The film will hit the floors in May and will be shot in Delhi, Kashmir and London.
