Nikhil Advani to reveal about SRK’s habit of humorously criticizing films!

Nikhil Advani directed Kal Ho Naa Ho, his debut feature film, in 2003. Major roles in the romantic drama film are played by Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, and Shah Rukh Khan. The classic movie was a box office success, but SRK thought it was "rubbish."

The director of Salaam-e-Ishq recently gave an interviewer an explanation for Shah Rukh's remarks about his debut film.

Bollywood producer and director Nikhil Advani recently chatted with Galatta Plus. In talking about his film career, he also shared his experience working with Shah Rukh Khan. The actor from Pathan is known to voice his dissatisfaction of the movies he is now making, according to the director.

Nikhil disclosed that King Khan was working with Shah Rukh as an assistant director on Mohabbatein while simultaneously filming Hey Ram. The actor from Jawan, he continued, "shows up at meetings frequently and tells everyone to watch the other movie because the one he is working on with you is garbage." “In Kal Ho Naa Ho, he said Devdas is fantastic, Kal Ho Naa Ho is rubbish. So, he has that habit,” Nikhil revealed.

The filmmaker is eager for Vedaa, his upcoming film, to be released. The film was ultimately granted U/A a few days ago without a single cut by the revision committee of the Central Board of Film Certification.

Inspired by true events, the action-drama film Vedaa stars Tamannaah Bhatia, John Abraham, Sharvari, and Abhishek Banerjee in important parts. The film is scheduled to be released on August 15, 2024.

Akshay Kumar’s hardcore action-drama with Vashu Bhagnani!

After Housefull 4, Akshay Kumar will be seen in Good Newwz with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, Sooryavanshi with Katrina Kaif, Laxmmi Bomb with Kiara Advani, Prithviraj and Bachchan Pandey.

As per media reports, Akshay's next will be a hardcore action drama inspired by a real-life incident. Earlier there were stories going around that Akshay had asked a whopping amount of over Rs 100 crore from producer Vashu Bhagnani to star in their project.

According to latest media updates, Akshay, Vashu and Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment have come together for a project. This untitled movie will be directed by Ranjit Tiwari. Ranjit Tiwari is known for Farhan Akhtar starrer Lucknow Central. This movie will be a hardcore action drama. It is inspired by a real-life incident. The film will be largely shot in London.

John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani team up again for Batla House!

After a gap of 10 years, actor John Abraham is all set to team up again with director Nikkhil Advani for his next venture Batla House. Nikkhil had last directed him in Salaam-E-Ishq, which also starred Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan.

Bhushan Kumar has also come onboard for the movie. Talking about the movie, John revealed, “I have always been drawn to the intrigue and drama that real life offers — small events, big ones or a human experience that resonates with a larger reality. Batla House is on point with this pursuit. I’m almost obsessed with it. I am aware of Nikkhil’s talent, but more than that, I am sure of his intent. Satyameva Jayate has started a relationship that has been wonderful between Emmay and JA Entertainment. We will work day and night to make a special film. Bhushan Kumar and our studio partner, T-Series, understand our vision and I am hoping this partnership is the beginning to many more.”

The movie goes on floors in September and will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow and Nepal.

Vir Das joins hands with Nikhil Advani for TV!

Nikhil Advani and Vir Das are teaming up to co-produce and co-pen a dark-comedy miniseries that goes into preproduction next month.

The project that has an element of satire and thrill was Vir’s brainchild, and he only set about looking for an experienced producer who would understand his content after he had the outline in place. Nikhil will also direct a few episodes of the still-untitled show that’ll be set in Mumbai, while Vir will play one of its central characters. Watch this space for more info on it.

TV series Prisoners of War’s actor Purab Kohli consults a psychiatrist for depression!

Film actor cum TV actor Purab Kohli who will be seen in his forthcoming TV series "Prisoners of War" is all geared up for a tough role. 

The show, that is directed by Nikhil Advani, is told to break the stereotypes tagged along with the daily soaps. For his role, Purab is said to have watched a lot of torturous videos as he plays the role of a prisoner. After shooting such intense and torturous scenes, post one sequence, the actor broke down on the sets as he couldn't hold back and was too involved in his character. 

A source revealed that it was also very challenging for Purab to get back to his normal life with his family and friends after shooting such intense scenes as a result of which he was depressed and had to consult a psychiatrist.

Nikhil Advani launches Vinod Mehra’s son Rohan!

After launching Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi in Hero, Nikhil Advani is gearing up to introduce another star kid in an upcoming production.

The filmmaker is launching Vinod Mehra’s son Rohan in a new movie that’ll be produced under his banner. The untitled flick will be a thriller that’s partly based on a true story, and it’ll be helmed by someone who’s been an assistant director on one of Nikhil’s previous directorial ventures. Nikhil Advani reschedules 'Katti Batti' to accommodate Kangana's hectic schedule!

It is common news that Kangana Ranaut will be a part of Nikhil Advani's next project titled Katti Batti, which will see her paired opposite Imran Khan in the movie. But, Kangana started facing some scheduling issues as she had to juggle Aanand L Rai's Tanu Weds Manu Returns along with this movie.

Soon it proved to be too much for Kangana and this is when Nikhil stepped in and offered to delay Katti Batti. Nikhil tells that film makers should take steps like this to help each other out and believes that Rai would do the same thing for him. From a box office perspective this makes sense, because if Tanu Weds Manu Returns does well, it will benefit his movie with Kangana too. The Queen actress on her part is all praise for Nikhil and tells that he has amazing spirit and perspective.
