Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Tamil Cinema Debut from Lokesh Kanagaraj's film?

The renowned cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is set to foray into the Tamil film industry, as a producer. His production banner Dhoni Entertainments is seemingly producing a couple of endeavors in Tamil and is also entering other South Indian languages including Malayalam and Kannada, with soon-to-be-announced projects.

As per a latest media report, Mahendra Singh Dhoni might make his acting debut soon, with hitmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's forthcoming project. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is keen to cast Mahendra Singh Dhoni in one of his highly awaited forthcoming projects. The reports suggest that the much-anticipated project is a part of the highly popular Lokesh Cinematic Universe aka LCU, the Tamil cinema franchise established by the supremely talented filmmaker. However, there are also chances for MS Dhoni to make his movie debut with Lokesh Kanagaraj's much-awaited project with Thalapathy Vijay, which is tentatively titled Thalapathy 67. But, none of these reports are not officially confirmed yet.

The successful filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj is presently on a high with the huge success of his latest outing Vikram, which featured legendary actor Kamal Haasan in the titular role.

Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput starrer MS Dhoni: The Untold Story was one of the biggest hit. After 2 years, Sushant is all set to star in its sequel, if rumors are to be believed.

 

As per to the newest report in a daily, Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP films is mulling over to produce the second installment to the film which will see Sushant reprise the role of former Indian cricket team captain.

A source revealed that the sequel will focus on Dhoni's achievements post the World Cup win in 2011. "There is the [Dhoni-led Chennai'] thrilling win against Bangalore at the T20 [this year, that can be depicted in the film]. Apart from that, India's steady run, up to the semi-finals, at the 2015 World Cup will find a place in the narrative," the source revealed. His personal life including the birth of his baby Ziva will also be a part of the film.

Dhoni will have a fair involvement in the sequel as well especially during the scripting process, as per the source. The sequel is anticipated to go on floors next year.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s selection for MS Dhoni biopic due to captain cool!

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who made his Bollywood debut with Kai Po Che, will be next seen playing the lead role in MS Dhoni-The Untold Story, which is based on the life of Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and we have got some astonishing news for fans of Sushant and Dhoni.

It looks that it was none other than 'Captain Cool' Dhoni, who advised Sushant's name for the lead role in his biopic. Dhoni seemingly felt that no other actor could do justice to a realistic biopic and so, was rather keen that Rajput be signed up for this role.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, MS Dhoni-The Untold Story is slated to release this weekend.

Ever since the trailer of forthcoming movie MS Dhoni-The Untold Story was uncovered, people have been curious to see the movie, which is based on the life of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and 'Captain Cool', as he is lovingly known, finally spoke about his opinion of the movie.

Dhoni told that he wanted the biopic, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput, to tell his journey and not to glorify him and that he said director Neeraj Pandey to see to it that the biopic is shaped that way. Dhoni further added that as a person who likes to live in the present, it was 'difficult' for him to go back into his life and tell his story to Pandey for the film.

Celebrated filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, whose next project MS Dhoni-The Untold Story revolves around the life of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is not a admirer of 'Captain Cool'!

During a media interaction, Neeraj disclosed that when it comes to cricket, he likes Sachin Tendulkar and AB De Villiers and added that it is good that he has never been a fan of Dhoni.

Explaining on this, Pandey told that had he been a fan of the cricketer, he would not have been able to present his story in an unbiased manner in the film, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role.

MS Dhoni-The Untold Story is slated to release on September 30 this year.

Sushant Singh Rajput and MS Dhoni share a common passion for bikes!

Sushant Singh Rajput will be playing the role Indian cricket team's captain MS Dhoni in his biopic MS Dhoni – An Untold Story and when the actor lately met the cricketer, they both recognized that they share a common passion for bikes.

The two bonded over bikes and chatted how they struggled to buy their first one. It wasn't easy for Dhoni to buy his first bike, as he was a humble TTE at Kharagpur station, before he became the cricket sensation that he is today. While Dhoni had to wait a lot to buy his first bike, Sushant too struggled for his first vehicle. His first motorcycle was a second-hand Honda CBR, which he bought with the money that he earned by giving private tuitions. Today, Dhoni has the swankiest bikes parked in his garage and Sushant too is the proud owner of a BMW K1300r.

Sushant further adds, "Yes, Dhoni is also extremely passionate about bikes, just like me. When two bike lovers start discussing bikes, be sure that it will be a long conversation which we have had many. In my college days, I started giving tuition classes to be able to afford a second hand bike, which I was very proud of. Even though I am very attached to my new bike, the first one will always remain very special."
