Uttarakhand High Court declines stay on Kedarnath release!

The Uttarakhand High Court on Thursday refused to stay the release of upcoming Bollywood movie "Kedarnath", featuring debutante Sara Ali Khan along with Sushant Singh Rajput.

Swami Darshan Bharti of Garhwal had demanded that the movie should be banned. The High Court told Bharti should go to the District Magistrate of Rudraprayag with his complaint.

A single bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan was said the movie should be banned as it was hurt people who were affected by the 2013 flash floods that ravaged Kedarnath besides hurting the Hindu sentiments.

The petitioner pleaded that the movie promoted "love jihad" -- a word coined by right-wing Hindu groups, to denote marriages between Muslim boys and Hindu girls.

Keeping in view the objections, the state government had formed a committee headed by Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj and including Home Secretary Nitesh Kumar Jha, Director General of Police Anit Ratoori and Tourism Secretary Dilip Jawalkar.

The committee has been asked to go through all aspects and submit a detailed report to the state government, after which a final decision on the film's release in Uttarakhand would be taken, an official revealed to a media source.

The movie is scheduled for nationwide release on Friday.

Abhishek Kapoor to avoid similar kind of films!

Director Abhishek Kapoor, who is gearing up for his next directorial "Kedarnath", tells his attempt as a filmmaker is not to repeat himself with a similar kind of movies on the big screen.

When questioned about how he motivates himself with every new project, Abhishek Kapoor revealed, "As a filmmaker my attempt is not to repeat a film. There is a trend out there (in the industry) that if there is a hit film, then people start making similar kind of films. For instance, if you make a good action film, you repeat that. I work in an absolutely opposite way. I want to disappear and would be happy if there are no traces of me in (my new) film. The joy of making a movie is the humility of not knowing anything about that world. From 'Rock On!!', I did 'Kai Po Che!'...everything was different."

Written, directed and co-produced by Kapoor, "Kedarnath" tells the story of a Hindu girl who takes a pilgrimage to the historic Kedarnath Temple in the Uttarakhand Mountains, where she meets and falls in love with a Muslim boy who is her guide. Releasing on December 7, the movie will launch Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan and his former wife Amrita Singh. She has been paired with actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Director Abhishek Kapoor's forthcoming film Kedarnath is releasing soon. The movie stars Sushant Singh Rajput and debutante Sara Ali Khan. The movie was widely shot in Uttarakhand as well as in Mumbai.

The shooting was started last year by seeking blessings at Kedarnath's Lord Shiva's temple. Lately, Abhishek took to his social media pages and shared a beautiful click of Sushant and Sara praying at Kedarnath temple. In the photograph, both are seen in a pensive mood while seeking blessings.

Sara Ali Khan’s legal trouble for Kedarnath has resolved!

Earlier, it was stated that Sara Ali Khan landed in legal trouble as her team gave the same dates for Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath and Rohit Shetty's Simmba.

Saif Ali Khan tried to solve the matter but nothing helped. The makers of Kedarnath then filed a lawsuit against Sara Ali Khan demanding Rs 5 crore.

In Kedarnath, Sara Ali Khan will be seen along with Sushant Singh Rajput and in Simmba, she will be romancing Ranveer Singh.

As stated in a daily, a source revealed, "When Kedarnath landed into trouble and was stalled after a fallout between Abhishek Kapoor (Gattu) and Prernaa Arora, the agency that manages the newbie actress gave bulk dates in June and July to Rohit and Karan Johar for Simmba. Now that Ronnie Screwvala has come on board and is backing Kedarnath, Gattu and he wanted the same dates from Sara to complete their movie. They decided to take a legal recourse soon."

The trial for this case was going to be held today. But, Abhishek and Rohit have now mutually settled the matter outside the court. A source revealed to a daily, "Rohit and Gattu had a talk. Ronnie, too, was present at the meeting. The three filmmakers met on Sunday to discuss the matter. Karan (Johar) couldn’t be there as he’s holidaying in the US. They have come to a mutual agreement.”

The source further reveals, “Sara will shoot simultaneously for Kedarnath and Simmba. While she films Simmba, the Kedarnath team will complete the portions that don’t include her and vice versa. The directors have worked it out."

Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan’s underwater stunts for Kedarnath!

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and newcomer Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath ran into a controversy when the director of the movie Abhishek Kapoor and the producer had a fallout due to monetary issues. But, now all the issues have been fixed.

As per a tabloid, the young screen couple will begin shooting for some underwater sequences of Kedarnath on April 28 at a specially-constructed facility at Khopoli, on the outskirts of Mumbai.

A source revealed the tabloid, "Abhishek Kapoor, who has been bailed out by Ronnie Screwvala, is going ahead with full gusto. The shoot for the underwater sequences will be done with both the lead actors."

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput and director Abhishek Kapoor collaborated for the first time for the former's Bollywood debut film Kai Po Che and it worked wonders for the actor. Then there was no looking back for him. Now, the actor has paired up yet again with the director for their forthcoming movie, Kedarnath. Kapoor took to Instagram to pronounce that they will be starting the shoot tomorrow and well, he is also all admirations for Sushant.

Previously, the movie was to go on floors on September 3 and now it has been shifted to September 5, which is tomorrow. Apart from Sushant, the film also stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. Sara and Sushant, before the shoot even begun went to the Kedarnath Temple to seek blessings.

Going by the news, Sushant will be essaying the role of a pithoo in the movie. In an interview with us, he also confirmed that he is living like a pithoo and learned the basics of cooking, including vegetarian food. He revealed us, "“I don’t debate those things like these are things I normally don’t do in my life but instead I think I should be doing them. It’s just that I have to do what my character does and that’s non-negotiable. A few days back if you asked me if I know how to cook I would have said no, it could have been different but now, yes, I can say I know the basics of cooking (laugh). I can cook everything – like daal, chawal and roti to sabzis. Recently I went to meet the CRPF jawans at Manipur for Jai Jawan for August 15 and I made some nice, perfectly round, thin rotis there for them and you know that someone who can make round rotis can make daal-chawaal too! Now I can safely say I have the basic instinct to survive and how."

Sara Ali Khan chooses Ekta Kapoor over Karan Johar due to mom Amrita?

Two celeb kids, Jhanvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan were all set to be launched in Bollywood this year and that too by Karan Johar. But now only Jhanvi will be debuting under Karan's home banner and Sara will be debuting in Kedarnath directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ekta Kapoor.

As per a famous tabloid, Kareena Kapoor Khan wished to see Sara work with Karan first, but Amrita was adamant that her daughter will be debuting under Ekta's home banner as they both are close friends.

Amrita after her divorce with Saif Ali Khan went on to work in Ekta's show Kkavyanjali and also starred in her home production A Flying Jatt last year. Sara almost signed KJo's movie but Amrita pulled out of the deal and gave her dates to Ekta.

But trade experts disclosed that Sara might have lost a big chance of her big debut by working with Ekta first.

Meanwhile, Jhanvi might make her debut in Student of the Year 2 or Sairat's Hindi remake. Despite the big rivalry created between Sara and Jhanvi even before their debut, the striking beauties bond very well and are often snapped together.

Lately, when Sridevi was questioned about Jhanvi debuting in SOTY 2, she told, "Wait for the announcement, it'll come soon enough and aapko khud pata chal jayega."

Furthermore, Jhanvi might sign a three-film deal with Karan.

Sara Ali Khan’s romance with Sushant Singh Rajpoot in Kedarnath!

Ever since Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan expressed her desire to step in to Bollywood, conjectures around her debut film refuse to die down. Seemingly, Sara was being considered for Student of the Year 2 and later for a film opposite Hrithik Roshan. But, now there seems to be a change in plan.

If the new hearsays are to be believed, Sara Ali Khan will be making her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in a film that would be helmed by Abhishek Kapoor. The movie is titled Kedarnath.

Lately, when Sushant Singh Rajput quizzed him if he is doing a film with Sara Ali Khan. To this, the actor responded, "I don't know. I never get to know my heroine beforehand. But I have signed 5 new films so then may be. You never know."

We tried to get in touch with Abhishek Kapoor to get some more details on the movie. But the director didn't seem interested in speaking and hence disconnected the call by saying 'wrong number'.
