Karan Johar opens up on Brahmastra facing negative criticisms!

Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva is the first installment of Ayan Mukerji's 'Astraverse'. The project, which is directed by Ayan Mukerji is being praised for its unique and rooted theme and stellar visualisation. While Brahmastra faced criticisms for its forced romantic track and amateur dialogues, it didn’t stop the Ranbir Kapoor starrer from emerging as one of the biggest post-pandemic successes of Indian cinema.

In a latest media chat, producer Karan Johar talked about Brahmastra facing criticisms. The filmmaker disclosed that both he and the Brahmastra team members are always open to criticism. The filmmaker further added that he is okay with everybody voicing their opinions on the film. However, Karan Johar specified what made him upset, in the process. “We have people who work in the industry and for the industry. Sometimes I feel that they can be critical, but being negative is not nice. We accept criticism with open arms. Because being critical is very imperative. Everyone needs that kind of policing. But I feel, sometimes some people push that from being critical to being negative," revealed Karan Johar.

The director further revealed that he always wanted to ask those people why they don’t want this film to work. "I wanted to ask them - don’t you want to make sure this massive cinema experience gets the footfall so that we can force forward with so much more,” revealed Karan Johar. “That’s the only thing that upsets me, that people within the industry sometimes, celebrate the ruination of a film. And I feel that’s never a good thing,” further added the owner of Dharma Productions.

 

Ranbir Kapoor feels Brahmastra is a part of his and Alia’s DNA!

Bollywood’s powerful couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhat’s first film together Brahmastra is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 9, 2022, in four other languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Brahmastra: Part One– Shiva also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni in main roles.

In a media chat, the Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year actor Ranbir Kapoor divulged that Brahmastra is now a part of his and Alia's DNA. “Brahmāstra has been part of our DNA now. It’s been five years. Ayan, Alia, and me are also really close friends, so on every occasion in our lives, if it’s a birthday, if it’s Diwali, if it’s Christmas, if it’s our marriage, we were always talking about Brahmastra." This marks Ranbir's third alliance with Ayan after Wake Up Sid (2009) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). While Alia and Ayan are uniting for the first time.

Further, about Brahmastra Part 2. The Sanju actor revealed, "There are a lot of things that Ayan has hidden from us also. Big plot points because he thinks we are loudmouths and we're gonna go and tell everybody."

Ayan Mukerji to clarify on why Ranbir Kapoor wore shoes in the temple scene!

The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra’s trailer has received a lot of love and netizens cannot stop praising the trailer. But there is one thing that had caught the attention of the followers and they had been trolling Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir for one specific scene in which the actor wore his shoes inside a temple.

Recently, the director took to his Instagram handle to explain why Ranbir wore his shoes in the temple scene and he also informed fans that now the trailer has been released in 4K as well.

About it, Ayan Mukerji wrote, “We had some people in our community, upset because of one shot in our Trailer - Ranbir’s character wearing shoes as he rings a Bell. As the Creator of this film (and a devotee), I wanted to humbly address what happened here. In our movie, Ranbir is not entering a temple, but a Durga Puja Pandal. My own family has been organising a similar kind of Durga Puja Celebration for… 75 years! One, which I have been a part of since my childhood. In my experience, we only take off our shoes, right on the stage where the Goddess is, and not when you enter the Pandal.”

Ayan further revealed, “It is personally important for me to reach out to anyone who may have been upset with this image… because above all, Brahmāstra is created as a movie experience which pays respect to, and celebrates - Indian culture, traditions and history. That is at the heart of why I made this movie, so it is very important to me that this feeling, reaches every Indian who is watching Brahmāstra!”

Film Brahmāstra is scheduled to release in theatres on September 9.

There’s no Hindi film, Tamil film, Telugu film, there are Indian films, says Alia Bhatt!

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra’s trailer released now. The Ayan Mukerji mythological fantasy drama has been making quite the buzz for quite some time now. Brahmastra is a pan-India movie which will come out in numerous languages. Amidst all this, in a latest media chat, Alia, Ranbir and Ayan were questioned how the film would redefine the term.  

The Pan-India phenomenon has been growing and getting centre stage for quite some time now. In a media chat, the Brahmastra trio discussed the same. Alia stated that ultimately, it’s the emotion that is ‘pan’ India. She expressed that a film might be made at any scale or a huge spectacle, but that at the end of the day, it is the emotion in the story that connects people.

Explaining further, Alia revealed, “I guess what I've also learned from this experience now that we're sitting here and having this conversation, is that, there is no Hindi film, Tamil film, Telugu film, there are Indian films. And there has to be that feeling, and we need to just give you that, to your audience, to the people that this is a film for you. It's for everyone. Because it genuinely is. Sometimes there is a feeling that’s not for you, but that's not true.”

Film Brahmastra is scheduled to release in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva will theatres on the 9th of September, 2022.

Alia Bhatt calls first presence with Ranbir Kapoor ‘magical’ in Brahmastra!

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra’s trailer has come out now. Apart from the real-life couple, it also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in important roles.

Earlier in a media chat about the first film with Ranbir, Alia praised Ranbir and told that she has a lot to learn from him. She further revealed that she is glad to be collaborating for the first time with Ranbir in a movie like Brahmastra. “I'm actually very glad that the first time he and I are coming together is for a film like this. There was a time when I used to think— ‘When will I get to work with him? What will happen?' And then this happened. Also, it has been a while since Brahmastra was conceptualised—it was five years ago right after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. That was also the time Ayan [Mukerji] and I bonded. It was a very big moment for me when he offered me this part. I wasn't who I am today then but he still trusted in me. It was a big deal for me and from that day to now, I have always looked forward to being on that set every day. Because it's a new challenge each day and it has given me abandon as an actor.”

Alia further revealed, “I have always felt that when Ranbir and I come together, it has to be magical and literally, it can't get more magical than this. I'm saying all this with great hope and not being pompous about it. We're working very hard towards that.”

Brahmastra hits theatres on the 9th of September.

Ranbir Kapoor calls a ‘great cinematic couple’ with Alia Bhatt in Brahmastra!

Recently, Brahamastra’s trailer finally released with bang. Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy drama starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt has been one of the most anticipated and awaited movies in recent years.

Earlier in 2018, Ranbir Kapoor confessed that he hoped to make a ‘great cinematic couple’ with ladylove Alia Bhatt. In 2018, in a media chat, Ranbir addressed the dating rumours with Alia and admitted that he was in a “happy, positive, and beautiful phase in life”. He also articulated his thoughts on working with her in Brahmastra, as he told, “I really hope that I have the opportunity in Brahmastra to make a great cinematic couple with Alia and do good work with her."

In a media chat, Alia too opened up about working with her then boyfriend, now husband, Ranbir. “I have always loved Ranbir as an actor – he’s just so fabulous on screen, he’s powerful yet so honest and complete. I’m feeling that even while we work together. It’s so nice to just see him be. He really inspires me to be a better version of myself at work. His work ethics are commendable and I’m still learning from him. I’ll continue learning from him,” revealed the 29-year-old actress.

Ayan Mukerji gives his 10 years for 'dream project' Brahmastra!

Film Brahmastra is one of the most awaited films of 2022. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The movie is projected to serve as the first movie in a planned trilogy.

Lately, the makers divulged the teaser of the film and also gave a sneak peek of the whole cast. Now, in a media chat, director Ayan Mukerji posted anecdotes from the making of his forthcoming movie and disclosed that it took him 10 years to make it.

Speaking to a daily, Ayan revealed, "Brahmastra began in 2011 itself and since then it took me 10 years for us to convert the dream into reality. The film has many inspirations, since childhood, I was very fond of our history, and mythology, and many films have been made in the fantasy and superhero genre, but they were not connected to our roots. I took inspiration from our mythology and history. I believe that every Indian in this country is connected to our culture. So that is the root of Brahmastra. The movie's inspiration is from our mythology but it is based on today's world."

Brahmastra will be slated to release in theatres on September 9 in five Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

 

Alia Bhatt’s special thank you note for Nagarjuna Akkineni!

As we all know that Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Nagarjuna Akkineni starrer Brahmastra’s schedule of shooting is almost nearing its end. Recently, Nagarjuna accomplished his portions of the film and he penned a note as his shoot journey with Alia and Ranbir came to an end.

Now, The Sadak 2 star Alia has also expressed her gratitude to Nagarjuna in a note as he bid adieu to her and Ranbir to complete the remaining portions of the shoot. On her Instagram handle, Alia posted pics from the sets with Nagarjuna, Ranbir and Ayan as they all posed together. In her note, Alia wrote, "& that's a wrap for Nagarjuna Sir on BRAHMASTRA! Thank you for the memories sir.. such an honour to work with you. With the end of shoot so near.. can’t help but look back on what a journey it has been so far on the film.. & the excitement of what lies ahead is another journey ALL TOGETHER."

Ranbir Kapoor ignores shoulder injury for Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra!

As another schedule of Brahmastra kicked off in Manali, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were seen leaving from Mumbai airport recently. But, Ranbir’s shoulder was being supported by a sling indicating an injury. Now, as per the latest report, Ranbir will continue to shoot despite his shoulder injury.

As per a report in a daily, Ranbir had sustained an injury to his shoulder while playing his Sunday football. He had sprained his shoulder while playing and later spent the night with Alia and cousin Armaan Jain for his birthday.

As per reports, Alia and Ranbir headed to Manali to start another shooting schedule of Brahmastra. The 15-day schedule had to kick off with some action scenes. But, Ayan pushed those to the end of the schedule to give Ranbir some curing time.

As per a media source, “Ranbir rested it out yesterday while Ayan shot some key sequences with the rest of the cast. He is expected to start filming from Tuesday. However, both Ayan and he have decided to push the action scenes for the latter half of the schedule.”

Shahrukh Khan’s cameo in Brahmastra!

Brahmastra is already one of the most highly anticipated projects on the scene.

Now Ayan Mukerji’s superhero flick starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt has gotten even bigger because Shahrukh Khan has come aboard in a small but pivotal part that’s inspired from ancient Indian mythology. SRK has already allocated his dates to film the cameo that is instrumental in progressing RK’s character Shiva’s journey forward. I’m sure the King Khan will be a scene stealer in the summer 2020 release!

Bollywood’s alleged hot couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are presently shooting for their forthcoming movie Brahmastra in Varanasi. Recently, the cast came together for a press conference and it was not just limited to Alia and Ranbir. South superstar Nagarjuna also joined the actors.

But, megastar Amitabh Bachchan who is also a part of the movie was not present at the event. Nagarjuna was also present for the Bulgaria shooting schedule last year and Brahmastra producer Karan Johar had given him a grand welcome on social media. Recently, new photographs of the Alia and Ranbir were snapped by the paparazzi when they were engrossed in the shoot. For the scene, Alia and Ranbir can be seen standing on a boat. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan discussed cinema and content with his "Brahmastra" director Ayan Mukerji and actor Ranbir Kapoor. He tells the young talents have "special gifts and thoughts".

"And later time spent with Ayan and Ranbir upstairs to talk 'Brahmastra' from the morrow together... and to discuss film and content and cinema. The young have some very special gifts and thoughts," Amitabh shared on his blog.

The 76-year-old finds it a "delight" to be in Ayan and Ranbir's company.

Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure and will release in December 2019. It also features Alia Bhatt, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.

After finishing the Bulgaria schedule of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt is back in town. Now, the actress began shooting for Abhishek Varman’s Kalank. But amid all the hustle-bustle, what inspires the actress is working with Amitabh Bachchan because quite early in her career, the actress got the chance to share screen space with the legend. Alia told, “Every time I am in a room with Mr Bachchan, I feel grateful.”

About the Brahmastra, Alia told, “We all are very excited for the film...I think Brahmastra is a step ahead. It will take cinema to another level so, I am very excited for the next year."

Television celeb Mouni Roy is in news for her role in Bollywood’s big projects. She made her debut recently with Akshay Kumar starrer Gold. Her admirers loved her act in the film and are happy to see her on the big screen. The actress has more movies in her kitty and well, she is still in disbelief how she got those offers. After Gold, she will be seen in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra, and then John Abraham in Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) and with Rajkummar Rao in Made in China. While speaking a media agency, Mouni Roy revealed, "I feel elated and grateful for the opportunities that have come my way. I don’t know how it happened, I am still in disbelief. I am very excited about this part of my life. I will be giving my best. I have started working on the two films Brahmastra and Romeo Akbar Walter."

Mouni has already completed shooting for the first schedule of Brahmastra in Bulgaria. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also stars Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. When questioned what kind of movies she wants to work in further, she replied, "I love acting. It (films) is just an extension of what I like, that is acting. All I look for in a film is a good story and role. I haven’t chosen the films that I will be doing. The makers thought I was apt for these films. Right now I do not have the time to do anything other than fulfilling my film commitments."

The actress further revealed, "Once I am done with it, I am ok to do anything that is exciting and challenging on any medium as my main job as an actor is to act."

Mouni Roy reveals about her villainous avatar in Brahmastra!

TV actress Mouni Roy is the well-known diva of Television Industry. Mouni is now all set to make her big Bollywood debut along with Akshay Kumar in the forthcoming movie Gold.

Mouni already has four movies in her hands. Apart from Gold, she will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji's dream project Brahmastra, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan. Mouni has lately returned from the Brahmastra shoot in Bulgaria. Talking about her character in the movie, she told that, "While I can’t reveal much about my character, I can say that I am the only villain of the Ranbir film."

Mouni will also be seen in a film titled Romeo Akbar Walter, alongside John Abraham. She will be seen in another movie titled Made in China, where she will be playing the role of Rajkummar Rao's wife. The duo will play a Gujarati couple.
