Who will be Kinng Ranveer Singh or Diljit Dosanjh for Singh is Kinng's sequel?

According to reports, work on a Singh is Kinng sequel is expected to begin in 2025, with Ranveer Singh and Diljit Dosanjh most likely to reprise the main parts.

The 2008 action-comedy Singh is Kinng, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, is one of the most cherished movies ever made. The director of the movie, Shailendra Singh, has reportedly started work on a sequel. He also revealed some interesting details, saying that his top choices for the starring roles in Singh is Kinng 2 are Ranveer Singh and Diljit Dosanjh.

Shailendra Singh revealed in a media chat that he had given Akshay Kumar the movie's title and then requested it back since he intended to create a sequel. Three years ago, he disclosed, the title was given back to him. "I have begun the process of Singh Is Kinng 2," Shailendra disclosed. To release it in 2026, I plan to start production in October 2025.

When asked why Singh is Kinng 2 was made, the producer said that remakes and sequels are in style right now. He said Singh Is Kinng 2 or Singh Is Kinng Returns might be the film's ultimate title. Shailendra also revealed that a new character would be developed and that the main character would not be called Happy Singh like in the first installment.

Shailendra also talked about the person he hoped would be the main character. He claimed that they had previously gotten in touch with Ranveer Singh's team and that he was his top pick. His vivacity, slyness, and good humor were appropriate for the role. Shailendra added, "Ranveer has never portrayed a Sardar before.

He went on to say that Diljit Dosanjh would be his backup plan if things didn't work out with Ranveer. In closing, the director expressed his preference for either Priyadarshan or Anees Bazmee.

Anees Bazmee directed the first segment, Singh is Kinng, while Vipul Amrutlal Shah produced it. The film also featured Sonu Sood, Om Puri, Neha Dhupia, Ranvir Shorey, and Jaaved Jaaferi in addition to Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
