Shoojit Sircar opens up about his first meeting with SRK during their theatre days!

One of the most highly regarded filmmakers in the business, Shoojit Sircar is renowned for creating realistic and true movies. The director recently disclosed that he knew Shah Rukh Khan from their theater days, when he had a few encounters with the actor. Furthermore, he remembered that during their theater days, King Khan would frequently meet his current wife, Gauri Khan, in a neighboring cafe.

Shoojit Sircar was questioned about his opinions about Shah Rukh Khan in an open interview with a media outlet. The October director responded by saying that he had known the Pathaan actor since they were in the same theater group.

He reminisced, “Shah rukh I know from theater group, he was in Barry John group, I was there, I didn't plays with him, I was there with them."

Sircar went on to say that the superstar used to visit the Depaul cafe in Connaught Place, Delhi, where he met Gauri Khan, his current wife. That's where the filmmaker met him. He did, however, admit that he had never seen the superstar perform in a play. The actor then left to appear in the television series Fauji after working on a play with director Barry John.

Shoojit has never collaborated with SRK, but a few years back, there were rumors that they might work together on a film. The director rejected the rumors in an interview with a media outlet, saying he was unaware of them.

In 2005, Shoojit Sircar directed his first film, Yahaan, a romantic war drama starring Jimmy Sheirgill and Minissha Lamba. Since then, he has produced popular, more realistic, and frequently socially conscious films, such as Vicky Donor, Madras Cafe, Piku, Pink, October, and others.

Vicky Kaushal played the lead in the film's most recent direction, Sardar Udham, which was a huge critical success. Abhishek Bachchan is playing the lead in his upcoming film, I Want To Talk.
