Priyanka Chopra's mother Madhu Chopra calls 'nepotism is coined by frustrated people'!

Despite being well-known for her candid views on films and social issues, Priyanka Chopra seems to be a case of the apple falling from the tree. Her mother, Madhu Chopra, is likewise rather vocal. During a recent interview, Madhu expressed her bold opinion that the term "nepotism" was coined by displeased people. "Nobody will put money on you if you are somebody's son; you have to have talent," she said.

During a media chat, Madhu discussed the ongoing discussion around nepotism in Bollywood and stated that when there is genuine skill and merit, the issue becomes irrelevant.

She stressed that it is the inclination of parents to provide their children opportunities and that these kinds of procedures have been employed for many years in all areas of the economy. She did, however, emphasize that their potential must be realized if their position is to be supported.

She believes that because nepotism is unsustainable, people who don't deserve a position eventually lose out. She also expressed the view that actual talent is what draws investors, and that a person's family connection to the company does not guarantee funding.

Finally, Madhu claimed that those who were displeased and unable to accept this reality were the ones who came up with the word nepotism.

After a run of setbacks in 2008, Priyanka had previously expressed concerns about her career, pointing out that she did not have the advantage of being a "nepo baby."

She recalled being afraid, as did her mother, who advised her to consider having a backup plan when she approached the age of thirty, which is considered advanced in the film industry.

The actress from Don 2 disclosed that the industry traditionally favored younger actresses, so her mother, who was business-savvy, pushed her to think about other income options. She said that she decided to give producing a go after hearing this discourse.

In addition, Chopra expressed her extreme worry over the box office failure of six of her films, underscoring the challenges faced by outsiders in Bollywood.

Unlike multigenerational performers who often get second chances, she did not have the familial support system needed to overcome setbacks, which compounded her anxieties.
