CID, one of the most enduring television programs, is making a comeback with a new season. Viewers of various ages like the show, and many of them felt nostalgic after witnessing the first glimpse of the upcoming season. We're revisiting an old episode where Bollywood star Salman Khan made a special cameo to treat CID fans.
Salman Khan is seen in the video posted to Sony TV's official X channel requesting that the journalist call the police before kicking the door open. When the goons see the actor, they are astonished and yell, “Salman, tu?” The actor asks them who they are plotting to kill. They reply that since it is not his film, he should not act heroic.
The actor tells, “Picture ho ya real life, end mein aake chor hi peethta hain.” As they argue they should give him a lesson, the thugs draw a dagger. The Dabagg actor tells, “Bhai bolta hain, aur chaku dikhata hain?” and gets into a fight with the goons. He gives them a lesson, and the CID team is seen looking into the case at the end of the video.
For those who are not familiar, the actor made a special visit to promote his Bollywood movie Kick. Several more Bollywood actors, such as Vidyut Jammwal, Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra, and Shraddha Kapoor, made appearances on the show in additional episodes.
Regarding the well-liked program, CID, which was one of the longest-running TV shows in India, ended its run on October 27, 2018, after 20 years of successful airing on Sony TV. Shraddha Musale as Dr. Tarika, Aditya Srivastava as Sr. Inspector Abhijeet, Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Narendra Gupta as Dr. Salunkhe, Hrishikesh Pandey as Sr. Inspector Sachin, Ansha Sayed as Inspector Purvi, Vivek Mashru as Sub-Inspector Vivek, and the late Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks were among the cast members.
