After marrying Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, one of the most successful actresses of the late 1970s, stopped performing. But after his death in 2020, she went back into show industry. In a recent episode of Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives S3, she disclosed that she was terrified to go back to work after Rishi Kapoor's death because she would be harassed. Nonetheless, her children, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, supported her.
Between 1980 and 2020, Neetu Kapoor appeared in a few films with her spouse, but she chose to prioritize her family and stop acting after being married. However, the actress won over her admirers when she returned to the big screen with Jugjugg Jeeyo, directed by Karan Johar.
In a recent episode of Fabulous Lives Vs. Bollywood Wives
S3, the iconic actress appeared alongside her daughter Riddhima. She discussed
the difficult period of her life in the episode.
Recalling her choice to report to work, the actress said, "After Papa
(Rishi) went…I was not ready. You know how the trolls are. But you (Riddhima
and Ranbir) pushed me. I did a show, I did ads. I used to shake before
going."
In case you were unaware, Neetu Kapoor married Rishi in
1980. Despite their long 40-year marriage, the actress was devastated by her
husband's death. She claimed that after reflecting on those difficult years,
she had decided to take things gently and look for a different path in life.
