“I was always thinking that she's an urban girl”, says Ayushmann Khurrana on choosing Ananya Panday for a desi girl role in Dream Girl 2!

If you're a Bombay girl, it's tough to catch those accents. Main toh phir bhi Hindi mei baat karta hu, Hindi mein sochta hu toh mere liye aasan ho jata hai (I speak and think in Hindi so it becomes easy for me). But she's done a great job in the film. And we've seen that in the past also, in Pati Patni Aur Woh. UP ki ek film kar chuki hai (She's already done a film based in Uttar Pradesh).”

The movie, which will be directed by Raaj Shaandilya and produced by Ekta and Shobha Kapoor under the brand of Balaji Motion Pictures, will open in theatres on August 25.

Chatting how Ranveer would be ideal for the part, Farhan further disclosed, “It really is about an actor coming in and owning the part and making it really like, giving it their style and their flair. And he has that, he has that in spades. So, he’s going to do a great job. I think the responsibility is more mine now to make sure that the script and the film works out the way I imagine.” Farhan was also asked what qualities made for a good Don to which he replied, “self-confidence, flamboyance and the ability to do anything that your mind is set on.”

The filmmaker provided more details about the shooting schedule for the movie and stated that it would start in January 2025.
