RRR’s Srinivas Mohan to get nomination for Oscar nomination in the Visual Effects category?


A top publication has predicted that filmmaker SS Rajamouli's RRR is likely to get an Oscar nomination in the Visual Effects category.

The well-known filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who has delivered huge hits like Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in the past, is yet again roaring under success as his movie RRR earned over Rs 2000 crore at the box office internationally this year. This movie is a work of genius and features actors namely Ram Charan, NTR Rao Jr, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in key roles. As per latest media updates, a leading publication has predicted that SS Rajamouli's RRR will likely earn an Oscar nomination in the Visual Effects category.

The popular international tabloid recently stated that Srinivas Mohan would likely be one out of five nominees in the Visual Effects category for his work on RRR. As per to the top tabloid, Top Gun 2, Avatar 2, Black Panther 2, and The Batman will be the other nominees in this category.

Yet, there is no official confirmation of this development yet.

Meenakshi Sheshadri reminiscences working with Jackie Shroff in ‘Hero’!



Well-known Bollywood actors Meenakshi Sheshadri and Jackie Shroff were famous stars in the world of Hindi Film Industry in the 1980s. They both have shared screen together in numerous movies such as Allah Rakha, Hero, Akayla, Mera Jawab, and Dahleez to name a few which are cherished by people to date.

In the latest media update, Meenakshi Sheshadri remembered working with her ‘Hero’ Jackie Shroff. On her Twitter account, she shared a pic with him and captioned, “Hero ki heroine!!”.

Talking in detail, the 1983 movie ‘Hero’ is a romantic action film directed by Subhash Ghai. The movie was declared a hit at the box office back then.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Meenakshi shared that she wishes to make a comeback in Bollywood soon. Speaking to the publication on November 16, she said, “I want to return to movies. I want to act again. Aisa lag raha hai jaise kuch adhura reh gaya tha.”

Alia Bhatt says, Gangubai gave her confidence to speak!


Bollywood well-known face Alia Bhatt is one of the most versatile actresses in the film industry.  As per media update, her movie Gangubai Kathiawadi is amidst campaigns for the prestigious Oscars and BAFTAs awards. Alia essayed the titular role in Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Alia Bhatt has been admired by one and all for her brilliant performance as Gangubai in the film. Now, in a latest media chat, she opened up about the qualities and characteristics of Gangubai that she retained, and revealed all the positive things that she learned from her character.

In a media chat, Alia Bhatt was questioned about qualities and aspects of Gangubai that stayed back with her. Alia revealed that while she comes from a protected background, and the Kamathipura set was the first time she had walked the streets of that area. She disclosed that while she didn’t go there physically, her process of discovering Gangubai happened through her conversations with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and through his lens.

“The positive things that I learned from her, which is actually very, very similar to my personality is that she never let that childlike innocence go, even though she was fighting this big bad world, and being a part of this big bad world, so to speak. Her innocence and her vulnerability was intact, despite having to play this very strong role for these women,” revealed Alia. She further revealed that it also gave her a lot of guts to speak in a big room, something she had been nervous to do since she began working at a young age.

“I’m constantly told how young I am and it’s always been that way since I started working. So very often, I would just feel a little nervous to speak my mind or say anything, because I was so young, you just feel like you don’t really have a place in the room. That’s something that it gave me - a lot of confidence to speak and to go with my gut and to say what I need to say. That’s one thing that I felt very strongly from this character,” revealed Alia.

 

Sanjana Sanghi and Pankaj Tripathi to come together for a film!


Recently, actress Sanjana Sanghi was seen in an action movie titled Rashtra Kavach Om along with Aditya Roy Kapur. Though the movie didn't perform well at the box office, but her act was loved by the audience. Sanjana began her filmy career as a child artist in Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri. Now, she is all set to unite with Pankaj Tripathi. As per media reports, she will be playing lead in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's forthcoming movie.

Well-known director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, who has received a National Film Award for his movie Pink starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, will be directing the movie. The yet-to-be-titled movie will rotate around a father-daughter relationship. A source revealed to a media source, "With the combined writing pedigree of Andhadhun’s Pooja Surthi and Kahaani’s Ritesh Shah, Sanjana Sanghi is all set to headline National award-winning director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's upcoming currently untitled father-daughter drama alongside Pankaj Tripathi, who essays the role of her father in the film.”

On the film front, Sanjana is currently busy shooting for Dhak Dhak. It is being produced under Taapsee Pannu's production. The movie also stars Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Recently, the cast and crew of the drama film Cirkus attended the all-star trailer launch event for the movie. For the information, Housefull 4 star Pooja Hegde is also a part of the cast as the leading lady. At the event, director Rohit Shetty opened up about making a movie with South actors.

The Singham director disclosed that he would love to work with Ajith Kumar, Allu Arjun, Karthi, among others. He was quoted telling, "I would love to make a film with everyone from the South. I would love to work with Ajith, Vijay, Allu Arjun, Karthi, and everyone else."

When Rohit Shetty was questioned about admirers wanting to see Ranveer Singh and Vijay Joseph together, the filmmaker revealed, “I will try to bring them together.”

SRK to wrap up the shooting of Dunki!


Recently, Bollywood superstar dropped an exciting update regarding his forthcoming movie ‘Dunki’. This movie is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani and features Shah Rukh Khan along with actor Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. Dunki is scheduled to hit theatres in December 2023.

On his Twitter account, Shah Rukh Khan revealed his fans that he has wrapped up the shooting schedule of his forthcoming movie Dunki in Saudi Arabia. Posting a video from the shoot location, he revealed, “There is nothing more satisfying than completing a shooting schedule as is with Dunki here in Saudi Arabia. I want to thank Raju sir, Abhijat (Joshi), Manosh, and the rest of the cast and crew for making it so lovely.”

“And a special thanks to the Ministry of Culture and Films here in Saudi Arabia for giving us such a spectacular location, amazing arrangements, and such warm hospitality. Soha Ali Khan spills beans on her role in Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer Chhorri 2!


As per media updates, Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan has joined the cast of Nushrratt Bharuccha's horror movie, Chhorri 2. It is the remake of 2017 Marathi movie Lapachhapi, which rotates around a pregnant woman whose unborn child is targeted by evil spirits. The movie premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 26 November 2021. Later, in December after the success of part one, a sequel was announced by Nushrratt. The Ram Setu actress will be seen essaying the lead role in the sequel.



Recently, Soha Ali Khan took to her social media handle to reveal her fans that she will be part of the horror movie Chhorri 2. She shared pics on her Instagram handle and she posed with Nushrrat. She captioned the post: "Thrilled to share with all of you that I will be entering the Chhorii universe in a truly unique role. I can't wait to show you guys what we have in store for this edition… #Chhorii2 #FilmingBegins."

Speaking about entering the Chhorii universe, in an official statement Soha Ali Khan expressed her excitement and told, “I am thrilled to join the cast and be a part of the world of Chhorii. The role that I play in Chhorii 2 is truly unique and a significant departure from the work I have previously been a part of. I really enjoyed the first edition of Chhorii, and am excited to up the horror quotient in this edition.”

Varun Dhawan reminisces Ajay Devgn's guidance after his first flop movie!


Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is enjoying the success of his latest film, Bhediya which is doing well at the box office and has also been receiving a positive response from the viewers. Presently, Varun's Bhediya faced stiff competition from Ajay Devgn's crime thriller, Drishyam 2.

In a media chat, the Badlapur actor spoke about it and called Devgn a 'rockstar.' Varun revealed that he has always admired Ajay and is in awe of how he takes success and failures in his stride. The Sui Dhaaga star also specified that he was the first person to call him when he had his first flop (October). Varun said that he liked the way he handles his career, and his expression remains the same. Calling him the 'MS Dhoni of actors,' the actor said that Ajay is so inspiring to youngsters. "I have to say this about him when I had a string of hits and one film didn’t work, he was the first person to call me up and asked how am I doing," revealed Dhawan.

“I told him this is the first time (my film has not worked) and he told me, ‘It doesn’t matter, people love you, you are here to stay. It is part and parcel, keep moving on.’ He is an actor I really admire,” further revealed the ABCD 2 actor.

Taapsee Pannu’s Blurr promotions soon after after shooting for Dunki!


Presently, Taapsee Pannu is readying for the release of her forthcoming movie, Blurr, which will be released on ZEE5 on December 9. Directed by Ajay Behl, Blurr stars Gulshan Devaiah in the role. The film is set in the hills where Taapsee’s character Gayatri is trying to find answers about her twin sister’s ill-fated death. The actress, who has been shooting for Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan in Saudi Arabia, is all set to return to Mumbai to begin promotions of her first movie as a producer.

As per media updates, ahead of the release date, the cast and crew of the movie will be returning tomorrow to Mumbai for promotions of Blurr. It is an official remake of the Spanish film Julia's Eyes. Previously, chatting about the flick, Taapsee revealed, "Blurr taps into different sensibilities of an individual and that is purely why I decided to produce it as my first film. Donning the producer’s hat has been a spectacular experience. Apart from acting, I wanted to be creatively involved in the production, conception, and various aspects of filmmaking which are seldom glamorized. Essaying the character of a woman pushed to the brink of mental endurance due to her sister’s death was vulnerable, raw, and clawing.”

Big B recalls throwback time when earned Rs 1640 a month living in a tiny room!


Well-known star Amitabh Bachchan’s illustrious career spans over 5 decades. The Mard star has a huge fan following. But Big B has had his fair share of struggles during his initial days. In his blog, Amitabh Bachchan recalled the good old days and remembered his initial days in Kolkata when he used to earn a meagre Rs 1640 a month way back in 1968. He also wrote that he used to share a tiny room with 7 others.

In his blog, Amitabh Bachchan posted a screenshot of a tweet that read, “The last day of @SrBachchan's job in Blackers company in Kolkata was 30th Nov 1968. Salary 1640 Rs. File is still preserved there till date.”

Big B then admired over the fact that there’s still a record of this after so many years. He further added that those days in Kolkata were the most independent, free times of his life. Amitabh Bachchan shared that he stayed with 7 others in a 10 square feet room.

He revealed they would check out popular eateries in Kolkata after their office hours, even though they had no money to enter these places. “8 of us in a 10′by 10′ room .. those were the days my friend .. office hours, then evening with the guys checking out the joints of popularity .. no money to enter them, but standing around with the hope that someday we shall .. and we did .. pooling in .. buttering up the gate keepers .. telling them when time improves shall look after them .. haha never happened ..” wrote Big B.

Big B then shared how his life has changed from then to now. He talked about visiting the same places, meeting people from the old days, and visiting the same old streets once more.

South diva Hansika Motwani, the bride-to-be, who is all set to wed businessman Sohael Khaturiya was snapped at the Mumbai airport. She was accompanied by her mother as they are heading to Jaipur for her grand destination wedding on December 4. The Aap Kaa Surroor actress opted for a floral co-ord set with boots, perfect makeup, and sunnies.

Hansika Motwani and her mom are heading to Jaipur for her wedding. She will tie the knot at the Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur. The sangeet and mehendi ceremonies will be held on 3rd December. As per media reports, the couple is expected to dance on a medley during the sangeet, which will begin with a song about friendship.

The marriage itinerary further includes a Sufi night on 2nd December, a polo match and a casino-themed after-party as part of the wedding celebration.

Popularity comes with difficulties, Vijay Deverakonda says on ED interrogation!


South celebs Vijay Deverakonda, Puri Jagannadh, and Charmme Kaur's pan Indian Liger, which tanked at the box office, has landed in trouble with a money laundering case.

Recently, the actor was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate for 12 hours over the investment for his movie, Liger. After the questioning, he talked to the media and revealed as a duty he came because the officials called that's it.

Talking to the media after being interrogated by ED for 12, Vijay Deverakonda reevaled, "I gave few answers to the questions asked by the ED officials. They have done their job. The popularity that comes with the love also shows some difficulties. This is an experience in life though. They did not tell me to come again."

Earlier, director Puri Jagannadh, and producer Charmme Kaur were questioned about the source of investment for the movie and were grilled by the ED office for saveral hours.

Asha Parekh’s displeasure over Indian women choosing western clothes!


Recently, veteran actress Asha Parekh, who attended the 53rd International Film Festival of Goa (IFFI), asked why Indian women choose to wear western clothes while speaking at a session. The Padma Shri recipient expressed her displeasure over the same, stating that 'Everything has changed'. She pointed out how gowns have replaced ghagra-choli, saree, and salwar kameez at Indian weddings.

The Pagla Kahin Ka actress, while talking at a session in the 53rd IFFI, specified that everything is so westernized. "Everything has changed. The films that are being made. I don’t know, we are so westernized. These days, girls are attending Indian weddings, wearing gowns. Arre bhaiya, humari ghaghra choli, saariyan aur salwar-kameez hai aap wo pehno na. (We have ghagra choli, sarees, and salwar kameez, why don't you wear those?)” asked Asha Parekh. "They just watch the heroines on the screen and wish to copy them. They just want to wear the clothes that are worn by the actors on screen. No matter even if they are fat or not, they just want to wear those clothes. I am very sad about westernization," further added the 80-year-old actress.
