Film Fukrey 3 to hit the floors by 2021 end!

After the stunning success of Fukrey and Fukrey Returns, admirers have been keenly waiting for the third installment of the franchise. Amid all this, director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba has revealed about Fukrey 3 and confirmed that the movie is in works.

While talking to a daily, Mrighdeep specified that while they had plans to begin rolling Fukrey 3 in April this year, it got delayed due to COVID 19 lockdown. However, he did mention that the movie will hit the floors by the end of 2021. “We were supposed to take it on floors on April 15, but the lockdown [disrupted our plan]. Now, we will begin shooting by the year-end. We want things to settle down; people should feel safe and mentally ready before going on the set,” he further added.

Film Roohi director also clarified that the pandemic has been refraining him from giving a go ahead for the movie. He revealed, “We don’t know what will hit us next. I don’t want to start [the project] and then stop midway. I’d rather start and finish in one go”. Well, while the admirers are eagerly waiting for Fukrey 3, it will be interesting to see what new twists the makers will bring in the third film.

About his upcoming film Doctor G, Ayushmann revealed, "I'm lucky that I chose acting as my profession because it has not only enabled me to live so many remarkable characters but has also taken me to so many incredible destinations."

The actor further added that this is the first time in his career that he has shot in Bhopal.

He further added, "For Doctor G, I'm fortunate to be visiting the heart of India and seeing it in its full glory. I'm shooting in Bhopal for the first time in my career and the city of lakes is a beautiful place. I'm bowled over by the warmth of the people and they have won my heart forever."

Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur’s preparation for war drama Pippa!

Bollywood’s newbie star Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli starrer Pippa was announced earlier but shooting for the same is yet to begin.

Now, as per latest media updates, the team of Pippa is now looking forward to begin filming for the war drama if conditions allow. The movie which revolves around the 1971 India-Pakistan war will include some intense action scenes and thus a grand production for the same is required. While various restrictions will make it hard for Pippa to be shot, the team has now been revealed that the film may go on floors in September. A source disclosed to the portal, "The film, set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war, will require multiple levels of prep. The actors’ reading sessions will begin by mid-August."

Besides the reading sessions, the main cast will also have to begin physical prep. "They not only have to fully familiarise themselves with the Battle of Garibpur that forms the crux of the story, but also have to physically prep from the first week of August to do justice to the combat and war sequences on camera," the source further added.

Finally, the teaser of the much-anticipated film ‘Enemy’ was officially unveiled by the makers. Sharing the teaser on his social media account, Arya wrote that he thoroughly enjoyed the fighting scenes in the film. “Loved fighting out with #Enemy @VishalKOfficial,” his tweet reads.

Going by the series of spectacular visuals, Vishal, a cop, is after the antagonist Arya who is playing the role of a prisoner. With a pulsating background score, the teaser suggests the story could be a crossword puzzle for audiences to crack.

Anand Shankar has directed the movie while Vinod Kumar bankrolled the project under the Mini Studios banner. Versatile actor Prakash Raj is playing a key role in this movie. ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’ fame Mrinalini Ravi and Mamata Mohandas are playing as female leads in this actioner.

Cinematographer RD Rajasekhar is the cinematographer handling the camera while the latest music sensation Thaman is composing the music. Along with Telugu and Tamil, ‘Enemy’ will be released in Hindi too by B4U Motion Pictures. The makers are aiming for a September theatrical release.

 

Amitabh Bachchan to recite poem again for Rumy Jafry’s Chehre!

As we all know that the Big B is one of the busiest actors of Hindi Film Industry. Amitabh Bachchan has taken a break from shooting of Goodbye for filming a special video for his forthcoming thriller, Chehre in Mumbai.

“After reciting poems for iconic movies like Silsila and Kabhi Kabhie, Amitabh Bachchan will be reciting a poem written by Rumy Jafry for Chehre. The poem has been put to tune by Vishal and Shekhar, and the makers are shooting for a special track today in the city,” disclosed a source close to the development. In April this year, Vishal and Shekhar had recorded the orchestral rendition of the title track with 107 musicians in Prague.

The producer considers that Amitabh Bachchan’s voice will add another dimension to the poem, which captures the essence of this thriller. The poem acts more like the title song of Chehre.  The thriller also features Emraan Hashmi in the lead with Annu Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, Rhea Chakraborty among others.

Also, my husband had passed away recently, so I was a bit shaken up inside. I needed something to make me feel stronger. I was anxious initially but gradually became used to the routine. And everybody made me feel better on the sets. Anil Kapoor, director Raj Mehta, Kiara (Advani), Varun (Dhawan), everyone was a pillar of strength. So, I relaxed after a few days. I’m glad I did the film.”

Revealing about her developed bond with her son Ranbir Kapoor. Neetu revealed, “I’m a total movie buff. I can watch the worst movies. Now, I also discuss my forthcoming projects with him. It’s a better bond now, because now I am discussing myself. Earlier we were discussing other people. He also discusses his films with me when he wants to, though he makes his own decisions. But once in a while he also wants my take on the script. So, we have that relationship of movies, scripts, performances and now it’s become even better.”

The Thespian of Indian cinema, legendary actor Dilip Kumar passes away at 98!

The Thespian of Indian cinema, legendary Dilip Kumar, 98, took his last breath at the PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai on July 7th, 2021 at 7:30 am. He passed away after prolonged age related health issues. Recently, the news has come after Dilip Sahab was hospitalised following episodes of breathlessness. Dr Jalil Parkar, who was treating him confirmed the news.

The Ram Aur Shyam star Dilip Kumar's Twitter handle, which was being managed by a family friend Faisal Farooqui, also confirmed the actor's demise. "With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return," Farooqui tweeted.  

A media agency tweet read, "Veteran actor Dilip Kumar passes away at the age of 98, says Dr Jalil Parkar, the pulmonologist treating the actor at Mumbai's PD Hinduja Hospital."

Kumar debuted as an actor in the film Jwar Bhata (1944), produced by Bombay Talkies. In a career spanning over five decades, Kumar worked in over 65 films. Kumar is known for roles in films such as the romantic Andaz (1949), the swashbuckling Aan (1952), the social drama Daag (1952), the dramatic Devdas (1955), the comical Azaad (1955), the epic historical Mughal-e-Azam (1960), the social dacoit crime drama Gunga Jamuna (1961), and the comedy Ram Aur Shyam (1967). He is famous as the Tragedy King due to the portrayal of a broken lover in numerous movies through the 1950s, including the Bimal Roy classic, Devdas in 1955.

Among the other iconic roles, the most memorable one for Dilip Kumar is the historic portrayal of Prince Salim in Mughal-E-Azam, which proved to be the greatest tale of romance upon its release. The talented Dilip Kumar has motivated a generation of actors, including the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

Dilip Kumar’s last on-screen appearance was in 1998 in the Umesh Mehra directed Qila, which featured him in a double role. Before Qila was Subhash Ghai’s Saudagar (1990), which emerged a smash hit at the box-office. Referred to as the "Tragedy King" and "The First Khan", he has been credited for bringing a distinct form of method acting technique to cinema. Kumar holds the record for most wins for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor and was also the inaugural recipient of the award.

As soon as the news of his demise came in, Bollywood joined in mourning the loss of the 'Tragedy King' of Indian cinema. Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Vicky Kaushal, Ananya Panday, Huma Qureshi, Hansal Mehta and many others took to social media to remember the legend. Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur also expressed grief as they mourned the loss of the thespian.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Akshay Kumar wrote, "To the world many others may be heroes. To us actors, he was The Hero. #DilipKumar Sir has taken an entire era of Indian cinema away with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Om Shanti."

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn wrote, "Shared many moments with the legend...some very personal, some on stage. Yet, nothing really prepared me for his passing away. An institution, a timeless actor. Heartbroken. Deepest condolences to Sairaji."

Big B took to Twitter to express how the history of Indian cinema is related with the renowned actor. He wrote, "T 3958 - An institution has gone .. whenever the history of Indian Cinema will be written , it shall always be 'before Dilip Kumar, and after Dilip Kumar' .. My duas for peace of his soul and the strength to the family to bear this loss ..Deeply saddened." Manoj Bajpayee wrote, "No One like you !!! Have a great Journey from here on Master ….सादर नमन  Rest in Peace." Ananya Panday, Kiara Advani, Zoya Akhtar took to Instagram stories to express grief over the legend's demise. Kareena shared a photo of Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor together to remember him. Shahid Kapoor paid a heartfelt tribute with a note. He wrote, "We are all nothing but versions of you Dilip Saab. Now, as per reports, Dilip Kumar's funeral would be held with full state honours in Mumbai on Wednesday, July 7. His Twitter handle also shared the news with followers.

On Dilip Kumar's Twitter handle, his family tweeted, "Burial today at 5:00 PM. Juhu Qabrastan at Santacruz Mumbai." As per a popular paparazzi's handle, Dilip Kumar would be laid to rest with full state honour at 5 PM today in Mumbai. Earlier, photos of Saira Banu leaving the hospital with Dilip Kumar's mortal remains came in. Fans of the actor gathered outside the hospital and police had to intervene to clear roads for the ambulance to pass.

As per the recent update, the legendary star has been given full state honours wherein he was draped in tricolour. The jawans of Maharashtra police had gathered at Dilip Kumar’s residence to give him full state honour. Besides, the late actor’s friends and family had also gathered at his residence to pay their last respects ahead of the funeral. Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu was also papped at the residence who has been inconsolable post the actor’s demise.
