After Karan Johar's Kalank, Sonakshi Sinha is all set to
star in her second movie of the year, Khandaani Shafakhana. The forthcoming
comedy drama dropped its trailer recently and the movie will also see rapper
Badshah making his acting debut. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres
next month and the movie's trailer has received an encouraging reaction.
Now, the makers are now planning to recreate the song
“Shehar Ki Ladki” from 1996 film Rakshak which starred Raveena Tandon, reported
a daily. Suniel Shetty starred in the original song along with Raveena, but the
remake will feature Badshah and Diana Penty who has been roped in especially
for the song.
As per the report, the song will be shot soon at a studio in
Mumbai. A source revealed to a daily, “Unlike the original track, which was
filmed outdoors—from a railway station to a bridge the modern-day rendition is
a conventional party number in a pub."
The song will also include a rap portion which will be sung
by Badshah.
