South star Priya Prakash Varrier rose to fame overnight when
a short clip from her movie Oru Adaar Love went viral. The actress nailed her
‘wink’ and in an instant won numerous hearts on the internet. While the film
did not do well on the box office and received poor reviews, Priya was highly
praised for her act in the high school romance. Her sizzling on-screen
chemistry with Roshan Abdul Rahoof also made headlines.
Talking about juggling her studies with her acting career,
Priya Prakash Varrier revealed, “They (family) didn’t want me to drop in
between. I have one last year left to get a Commerce degree and then I can
totally focus on films.” When asked if her popularity affects her college life,
she specified, “Well, my teachers feel I can do much better in studies than
acting, and thus they want me to pursue it. They’re fair enough on their part
but I want to act.” She further added, “I don’t get any grace marks. In fact, I
don’t get the marks for attendance. Grace marks are for people who attend
different events in college.”
