There’s buzz that one of B-town’s favourite real couples
will play a real couple on screen soon.
Deepika Padukone is in talks to play Kapil Dev’s wife Romi
Bhatia opposite her hubby Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s ’83. While Kabir had
originally planned the role as a cameo, he’s now upgraded it to show the impact
the World Cup had on the players’ families. There’s a famous story about how
Romi left the Lords stadium when India started losing wickets, and I’d love to
see Deepika re-enacting it on screen!
