Bollywood star Ankita Lokhande made her acting debut in 2010
with the show Pavitra Rishta. She essayed the role of Archana in the show and
became quite famous in every Indian household. After the show got over, Ankita
took a break from work until she could get her hands on a project that would
interest her.
After a long gap from acting, now Ankita is all set to make
her Bollywood debut next year with the movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
In the movie, Kangana Ranaut will be seen as Rani Laxmibai and Ankita will essay
Jhalkari Bai's role. Jhalkari was a woman soldier in Rani Laxmibai's army and
also an advisor to her. She is one of the unsung heroes in the war of freedom.
In a new movie still, Ankita Lokhande looks fierce and
courageous as she is holding a gun in her hand. For this role, Ankita Lokhande
underwent rigorous training in horse-riding and sword fighting for at least 35
days. She even trained with Kangana Ranaut during the shooting of the film.
The movie is scheduled to release on January 25, 2019.
