Miss USA and Miss Universe 1995 Chelsi Smith has expired at
the age of 45. She suffered from liver cancer. She was Sushmita Sen’s successor
as Miss Universe. Sushmita Sen posted a throwback photograph of the moment when
she passed the crown to Chelsi Smith. Sushmita mourned her passing away and wrote
on Twitter, "I loved her smile and that generous spirit. Rest in peace my
beautiful friend, Chelsi Smith. Miss Universe 1995 Dugga Dugga"
Shanna was the runner up in the 1995 pageant and she posted
on Twitter, “I am heartbroken. Godspeed beautiful. You were my friend and a
light. I love and will miss you more then you will never know. The epitome of a
Queen…”
