Lately, actor Adil Hussain won the Best Actor award at the
Amanda Award or the Norwegian National Awards - the Scandinavian country’s top
national film honour. Adil, who won the award for the movie What Will People
Say took to Twitter and told that the award is for all those who believe that
art can break boundaries. He posted, “Grateful to have Received the Amanda
Awards Norwegia National Awards for Best Actor in a leading role for,
brilliantly directed by Iram Haq. This award is for Goalpara, Assam, India for
all those who believe that art can break all boundaries of all kinds."
Adil grew up in the small town of Goalpara.
But looks like Adil Hussain is in for another treat as his
film What Will People Say is now declared as the Norwegian official entry into
Oscars 2019. That’s right! A content Adil took to Twitter and shared the huge
news. He posted, “Our Film #WhatWillPeopleSay is just declared as the
#Norwegian official entry into #Oscars 2019. #Norway @norwayinindia @NorwayUN
@Dibang…Big Congratualtions.”
What Will People Say is helmed by Iram Haq and the film was
extensively shot in India, mostly Rajasthan.
In the movie, Adil Hussain essays the role of a doting yet
controlling father and the actor has already won the Kanon Award at Kosmorama
film festival, which is Norway’s equivalent of the Academy Awards.
