Sanju to surpass Salman starrer Tiger Zinda Hai’s weekend collections?


Sanjay Dutt's biopic titled Sanju shows the debatable life of 'Baba' starting from his debut movie Rocky days. Ranbir Kapoor has already won several compliments for his act as Dutt.

With the opening collection ranging around Rs 34 crores, Sanju collected Rs 45.50 crore nett on its first Sunday taking the first-weekend collection to Rs 117 crore nett. This is without Bahubali - The Conclusion.

Sanju has already beaten Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai which earned a little under 115 crore nett in the first weekend. This is the first time a non-Khan Hindi movie has held the weekend record.

The collections of Sanju for the first weekend are as follows

Friday - 34,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 38,25,00,000 apprx. 

Sunday - 45,50,00,000 appr

TOTAL - 1,17,75,00,000 apprx

Ranbir Kapoor's film beat Salman Khan's Race 3's opening weekend collection as well and is already the biggest hit of 2018. Before Sanju, it is Bahubali - the Conclusion which has the highest ever weekend collection record with Rs 127.28 crore nett. The collections of Sanju have come on a non-holiday weekend like Bahubali - The Conclusion. Even Salman Khan's TZH was a non-holiday release.

As per report, the movie also beaten Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor's Padmaavat's record in only three days.
