Hollywood celebs Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole, who started
dating in 2016, have split after dating for more than two years. The ex-couple
join the "celebrity couples split bandwagon" and took to Twitter to
issue a statement regarding their breakup.
Liam and Cheryl jointly tweeted, "We are sad to
announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us
to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our
world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through
this together."
Earlier, the star-crossed lovers met during X-Factor, 10
years ago, when a 14-year-old Liam auditioned with Cheryl as one of the judges.
The closeness between the two formed after Liam and his bandmates from One
Direction performed for the last time as a group on X-Factor.
After a momentary romance, the two welcomed their first
child Bear Payne in March 2017.
