Actress Shraddha Kapoor is
all set to start shooting for the second biopic in her career. She will be seen
essaying the role of world-class Badminton player Saine Nehwal in the movie
titled Saina. The film will be directed by Amole Gupte, who was the creative
director of Taare Zameen Par and will be produced by Bhushan Kumar
(T-Series).
Previously, when Shraddha was questioned about the biopic by
a famous tabloid, she told, "Most girls would have played badminton at
some point in their lives in school. I feel so lucky to be playing Saina, who
is not just among the world's top badminton players, but also a youth icon. I
can't wait to start prepping for my role."
Now, Shraddha will begin the prepping for the movie. Speaking
about it, a source close to the development specified to a daily,
"Shraddha will begin training in badminton under the guidance of a senior
coach from Prakash Padukone's academy. She will be training at a world-class
badminton facility in suburban Mumbai and will practice daily till it's time to
kick off the shoot, which is in a few months."
Shraddha considers the biopic as one of the most difficult movies.
She had spoken about it previously to the daily telling, "I'm sure it's
going to be my most difficult film yet as Saina has spent her whole life
playing badminton and in the next few months, I have to get close to the
standards she's set."
Whereas director Amole told, "Besides meeting Saina's
close associates, I gathered videos of her to understand her personality. I've
also been to the National Sports Club of India (NSCI) to watch her play. Her
killer instinct is inspiring, she is the tigress beti of
India who has made us proud."
