According reports, filmmaker Prakash Jha is helming the
project Mungerilal, which is a remake of his '80s hit
show, Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne. The series rotates around simpleton
Mungerilal, who is a day-dreamer and sees all his dreams turn real.
No as per news in a tabloid, famous actor Vinay Pathak will
essay the male lead in the series, which will air on Sony TV.
According to a source linked with the project, "The
work on the show is on in full swing. It became extremely popular in the 80's
and the channel is hoping to recreate the magic. Vinay fits the bill perfectly
and has a flawless coming timing."
