Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is thrilled with the birth of
his little daughter Misha Kapoor. In a latest interview, Shahid spoke about how
life has changed for him post marriage and baby.
Talking about Misha, Shahid told, "I don’t think any
child can do without the mother. The mother, without any doubt, is the most
important person in a child’s life. In cricketing nomenclature, while the first
to eleventh positions are taken by the mother, I can become the 12th man
(laughs). Toh mein hamesha ready rehta hoon (so I’m always ready). Even if I’m
not needed, I’m available."
Speaking about how they decided on the name Misha, Shahid
said, "Honestly, we got desperate. We didn’t know if it was a boy or a
girl, and we never even tried to find out. That’s not allowed in India anyway.
We just needed to come up with a good name, because, somehow, when you want to
come up with a name, you don’t like any (smiles). And then you get really
scared, because the date keeps getting closer. I suggested Misha. And I
asked Mira, ‘Is it nice? What do you think?’ She liked it instantly, and said
it was very nice. All of this was happening five days before Misha was
born."
Speaking about Mira's fame and how she gets more likes on Instagram
than him, Shahid told, "Sometimes, she comes back and tells me, ‘I went to
some place today and people started recognizing me. I am not used to it. It’s
very odd’. Things like that do happen. But I guess that comes with the
territory. So, she isn’t just Shahid Kapoor’s wife. Sometimes, I feel I will
soon be called Mira Rajput’s husband (laughs).”
