It’s official guys – Christopher Nolan is the highest paid
director in the world.
Word on the street is that he’s making a massive $20 million
up-front for his war film Dunkirk, which is due out next summer. That aside,
Chris will also get 20 percent of the film’s gross and, if his past films are
any indicator, that will be another huge payday. To give you some context, the
average salary for successful filmmakers in LA is between $750,000 and $1.5
million. I’m guessing the fact that Chris’ films have made $4.2 billion across
the globe helped land him the sweet deal!
