After a lot of conjecture we can confirm that Kajol is coming
back to the big screen with an adaptation of Anand Gandhi’s Gujarati play Beta
Kaagdo.
Kajol’s better-half Ajay Devgn will produce the
slice-of-life dramedy, which will see the veteran actress playing the role of a
single mom of a teenage boy. FYI, when Anand wrote the play 15 years ago he
based the female lead’s part on his own mother and her eccentricities. I’m sure
Mrs. Gandhi will be very flattered to see Kajol stepping into her shoes!
