The Mummy is rising from the dead again, and this time Tom
Cruise will be around to headline the reboot of the 1999 super hit!
The revamped supernatural-action film has penciled in a June
9, 2017 release date, with Kingsman’s Sofia Boutella also set to join the fun.
Insiders says the new film will feature a female mummy as a baddie, and that
Tom will play an ex-Navy Seal who stumbles into an old tomb. A part of me will
miss Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, who don’t seem likely to return for the
reboot.
