Will they, or won't they be reunited this time around? When
Tanu and Manu met four years back, it was reason to celebrate. Now they are
separated, and there is another angle to the love triangle, Datto. While
Kangana is playing the female lead for both the characters, Madhavan continues
to be his usual shy self as Manu. But, in the world created by filmmaker Aanand
L. Rai, the complexities arise from simple situations in life and the
underlining theme of Tanu Weds Manu Returns is - 'Whether it would take a
second chance to revisit the first true love?'
"Well, all I can say for now that it is a complete
discord between Tanu and Manu this time around," tells Madhavan,
"Yes, at the end of the day, it is a deep rooted love story. Still, while
people say that in so many case, after certain years of marriage, love changes
or goes away, I believe it doesn't. It just manifests into respect and
responsibility towards the spouse. That is where all the love is hidden."
For somebody who personally believes in true love and feels
that in a true relationships, arguments can't lead to a split forever, Madhavan
opines, "If there was no love then there would be no 'ever again'. It is
only when you have deep rooted respect for a person that you let the worldly
things get into your life. It is like - 'If you have problems and they are big,
then it means that pyaar abhi bhi barkaraar hai."
"The only thing that can kill your love is
indifference," he further adds, "It is only when you say that 'jo
karna hai kar le' that it turns out to be the death of love. If there is anger,
if there is wrath, then love is very much alive; it is all about manifesting
it."
