Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who was lately seen
beating up a shark in an innerwear brand TVC, seems to have angered the PETA
(People for Ethical Treatment of Animals).
Poorva Joshipura, PETA India CEO, told in a statement that
PETA will be writing to Rupa Frontline and Ranveer Singh to share their
concerns on behalf of sharks and today's socially aware youth. Poorva added
that PETA officials are also dissatisfied in the way the brand has shown Ranveer
trying to impress a girl by being cruel to a shark. By the way, this is nor the
first time Ranveer has courted a controversy. The actor had also landed in a
soup for his involvement in the AIB Roast video, which had provoked a FIR
against Singh and other actors in the video.
Ranveer will be next seen playing a Maratha general
in Bajirao Mastani and a archetypal Punjabi man in Dil Dhadakne
Do.
