Jaya Bachchan is ‘Didibhai’ for her all three sisters, reveals Amitabh Bachchan on Wife about women empowerment!

Big B saw a lot of achievement with his movie on women empowerment Pink. In a latest interview, Amitabh Bachchan told about the woman of his life, Jaya Bachchan.

Big B told, "I believe the environ she grew up in and the kind of upbringing she had, instilled in her the strength that she exudes. She was the head in her NCC outfit. That could have given her the strength of command. But right from her home environs I believe, she was always considered that. She’s the eldest among three sisters. And they do not call her ‘didi’. They call her ‘Didibhai’! Guess, that says it all."

Amitabh also spoke about Pink telling, "The reactions have been most overwhelming and far too many to enumerate here. But suffice to say they range from a feeling of great emotion to one of ‘about time’ someone brought the issue out from its claustrophobic bindings into the open. The range of the reactions have come from the common man, the lawyers, from the politicians, the media heads, the activists and more. Most of them have one common word to say ‘speechless’ and ‘stunned’."

STOP, putting INDIA down, requests Big B to twitter fans!

The well-known actor Amitabh Bachchan is truly vocal when it comes to expressing his views on social media. Big B has got his special thoughts on almost everything. It has also been observed that he takes a keen interest in sports and has been very inspiring even in the past. Be it the commonwealth, Olympics, cricket or tennis, the Pink star has been really supportive.

And though many of us might not be knowing that India has lately beaten Argentina in Kabaddi World Cup, Sr. Bachchan is as usual updated and congratulated the team on the win. And not just did he congratulate but was a little annoyed with some tweets, which commented that the score would be reversed in football.

Lashing out at the cynical take, the 74-year-old megastar posted, “India beat Argentina 74-20 in Kabaddi World Cup. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS INDIA! Some comments saying score would be reverse in Football. STOP, putting INDIA down! Be proud of our country's win and STOP this disgusting habit of always comparing negatively about our NATION!! Score would be 3 times the combined score of Kabaddi in favor of INDIA, in Cricket!! SAY THIS!! BE PROUD OF INDIA, be PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN !!!”

Pink’s climax was changed, reveals Taapsee Pannu!

Shoojit Sircar's recent production project Pink, which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi and others, is making all the right noises and is being lauded by everyone from critics to audiences and we lately discovered something shocking about the movie.

Taapsee disclosed in a recent interview that the original climax of the movie was supposed to show the antagonists getting away with their deeds, but the makers felt at the last minute that such a climax would not appeal to audiences and so, the ending of the movie was changed to show that the protagonists win the day in court.

Pink revolved around a veteran lawyer's comeback to court to fight for the rights of three women being victimized by a bunch of boys from influential families.

Pink is not a documentary but we are not spoon feeding either, voices Taapsee Pannu!

After Baby, now film Pink, next year it would be Naam Shabana and in the middle of this all, there would be at least three more movies that Taapsee Pannu would be seen in. For someone who has been termed gifted actor ever since she made her big screen debut down South, this young Punjabi woman has been making her presence felt in the industry.

In fact when it comes to Pink, time and again movies belonging to this genre carry a pre-notion of being grim, niche, dark or serious. How has it been guaranteed by producer Shoojit Sircar, director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and the team of actors (Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang) to make the narrative entertaining enough as well, so as to reach out to a larger section of audience?

"The inherent intensity and energy of the script," promptly comes the reaction from Taapsee, "I have definitely used that energy and vent it all out. We had that thing in mind to reach out to a good section of audience and hence narrated the film as a thriller. Pink is not a documentary. We are not telling you what to do and what not to do. We are not telling who is right and who is not. We are showing what has happened to the characters in the story and it is up to you as an audience to take back home what suits your judgment and mental stance."

The movie deals with a sensitive subject of molestation. A subject like this can't be expected to be entertaining per se in true terms.

"Well, it all boils down to what entertainment means to you," comments Taapsee, "For some, reality is entertainment. Pink is one such reality. Moreover, we are not spoon feeding the audience either. You have to catch every moment to know what is happening. It is not a kind of movie where the first frame itself gives out what has actually happened. You have to wait till the end to know about it. We are not preaching anything to anyone, we are only projecting reality."
