Varun Dhawan reacts on the failure of Kalank!

As we know, Varun Dhawan who has had many hit movies in his Bollywood career, but his newest film Kalank tanked at the box office which was unavoidably an unfortunate moment for him along with the entire team of the movie.

Varun lately disclosed that he was feeling quite low about the film’s failure and that his friends planned a getaway to Thailand to lighten up his mood on his birthday. Varun also indulged in his favourite martial arts sports Muay Thai, Thai boxing and released a video on YouTube wherein he shared a heartfelt message about Kalank not meeting up to the expectations. He disclosed in the video that, “My 32nd birthday... But I am going to tell you how it all went down. I was a little down because my latest release did not go the way I thought it would and it did hit me a little hard, I will be very honest. I didn't know how to react to it. Lot of people told me, 'don't show it'. I don't know how to behave like that. Failures are a part of life."

Recently, film Kalank's trailer has released. It stars Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Kunal Khemu etc. It is looking too promising for viewers with its magnum opus status and interesting concept.

Varun Dhawan reveals about his role in Kalank!

Bollywood star Varun Dhawan's first release for this year is Abhishek Varman's Kalank. In Kalank, the actor will be seen in another attention-grabbing character named Zafar. For his looks in the poster and teaser, he has received a great response from the viewers.

In a latest poster, Varun Dhawan was seen fighting a bull. In a media chat, Varun disclosed that he himself has performed those scenes. Varun even asked Abhishek for a body double, but, film's action director Sham Kaushal told him that he wanted Varun to do his stunts himself. About the bullfight scene, Varun shared that a Colosseum was built for it in Mumbai and that part was shot in Kargil where it was very cold and he had to go bare bodied for it.

About the scene, he revealed, "The blood you see is my own because Zafar is the kind of guy who will come out of a crisis with a smirk."

Recently, dynamic Bollywood’s Jodi Varun Dhawa and Alia Bhatt were clicked at the launch of Kalank’s second song First Class and since the song took place at Gaiety cinema in Mumbai, Varun and Alia made sure to come atop the theatre and dance to the song while hundreds of fans waited outside the hall to catch a glimpse of Zafar and Roop. As they say, you can never go wrong with black and therefore, both Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan decided to appear at the launch of the song wearing an all-black attire. 

Before heading out to the terrace of Gaiety, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt danced to the song and let us confess, they both are by far, one of our favorite Jodi of B-town, don’t you agree? After the song launch, the two headed out and performed amongst hundreds of fans.

Alia Bhatt’s sleepless nights for a song from Kalank!

Actress Alia Bhatt lately shared a teaser video of her newest song Ghar More Pardesiya from the movie Kalank. The magnum opus is a story of never-ending love and has created a lot of buzz on the internet since the first look of the movie was shared by the whole team. Lately, the teaser of this period drama was released and admirers were enthralled by the grandeur of this period drama. Alia posted a photo on her Instagram account and gave a glimpse of the new song where she is seen in a white lehenga amid the yellow curtains and a vaanar sena. She captioned the photo telling, "A song that gave me sleepless nights, days & months is coming very very soon". Alia is thrilled for the newest song in the film and has been preparing for it rigorously.

Alia was trained in Kathak for a year and has been prepping for the traditional dance song for almost 2 and half months. She referred to classical songs of Birju Maharaj to perfect her expressions and lip syncing. Even her co-star Madhuri Dixit was impressed by her dance performance and was all praises for Alia.

Alia will be playing the role of Roop in the period drama. Kalank also stars Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. Helmed by Abhishek Varman, the movie is produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and will release on April 17.

Recently, the star cast and producer Karan Johar disclosed the teaser of Kalank.

This period drama is a love story set during the partition era. Varun Dhawan plays the character called as Zafar and from what we saw in the teaser, the actor has donned a totally different avatar for the movie. Zafar looks physically strong and the fans are in love with Varun's rough and tough side.

On the poster, Varun is fighting a bull and the still immediately reminded us of Rana Daggubati's character Bhallaladeva from Baahubali who had a bullfight scene.

Film Kalank’s next shoot in Rajasthan after Mumbai schedule!

Director Abhishek Varman’s Kalank is really one of the most awaited movies due to its huge star cast as Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. After shooting in the snow-laden Kargil, the cast of Kalank was spotted in Indore. As per reports, the cast and crew of Kalank will be heading to Rajasthan. Nowadays, a lot of filmmakers are traveling to the desert state to shoot their movies and the newest director to join the bandwagon is Abhishek Varman. 

Recently, Varun Dhawan posted a video on Instagram where he is seen prepping up to shoot a high-octane action sequence in the movie. Among his numerous going-to-the-gym-pictures, this video came as a lovely surprise for his fans and alongside this crazy workout video, Varun’s caption “I have been training and trying to get stronger for a crazy action sequence for #kalank. My trainer made me try something new today #donttrythisathome. .p.s the mark on back is from cupping.”

After shooting for the action sequence in Dahisar, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will head to Rajasthan to shoot some important scenes of the film.

Director Abhishek Varman’s Kalank that has Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles also had one more actress joining the league. Kriti Sanon will be seen in a special appearance. The diva will be doing a special number in the movie and will be seen grooving with Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur.

A source revealed to a daily, "Kriti’s song is extremely desi and raunchy. It’s a groovy track that will surely be another chartbuster.” Kriti will shoot the number this week with Varun and Adi.

Speaking about it, Kriti Sanon revealed, "It’s a very special song and a full-on masala Bollywood track that makes you groove instantly. It’s my first work association with Karan and Dharma Productions and I am thrilled about it. I haven’t done something like this before — whether it’s the song or the the way I’ll look, so I’m very excited."
