Director Abhishek Varman’s Kalank that has Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles also had one more actress joining the league. Kriti Sanon will be seen in a special appearance. The diva will be doing a special number in the movie and will be seen grooving with Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur.

A source revealed to a daily, "Kriti’s song is extremely desi and raunchy. It’s a groovy track that will surely be another chartbuster.” Kriti will shoot the number this week with Varun and Adi.

Speaking about it, Kriti Sanon revealed, "It’s a very special song and a full-on masala Bollywood track that makes you groove instantly. It’s my first work association with Karan and Dharma Productions and I am thrilled about it. I haven’t done something like this before — whether it’s the song or the the way I’ll look, so I’m very excited."

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit has begun shooting for Abhishek Varman's Kalank. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.

Recently, Madhuri was snapped on the sets of Kalank and her look was disclosed. As per repoty, Madhuri will play the role of a courtesan in the movie. From the photographs, we can see her look as a courtesan for Kalank.

Earlier, a media source had disclosed, "Madhuri Dixit will be playing a courtesan in the movie which is a period drama. She is a trained Kathak dancer in the movie, who teaches others the dance form. Given her knowledge and mastery on dance, especially Kathak, this one is easy for her. Despite that, she is putting in 4-5 hours for the rehearsals. Currently, due to the promotions of Bucket List, she is slightly caught up. But once that gets done, she will be leaving no stone unturned for the movie."

Varun Dhawan’s Kalank shoot with 500 backup dancers!

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan will be uniting on-screen with Alia Bhatt for the fourth time in Kalank. The film, which is a period drama is being directed by Abhishek Varman and co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

Varun and Alia are joined by a big star cast including another on-screen reunion of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit along with Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles.

Varun has already begun shoot for Kalank which started with an introductory song along with Kiara Advani. As per to a daily, the song was choreographed by Remo D'Souza and Varun was joined by 500 backup dancers who grooved with the actor to the track composed by Pritam.

A source from the sets of the film disclosed to the daily, "Varun began his rehearsals with Remo’s team four days before shoot and Kiara joined him on the last two days. In between shots, the actor would catch up on his workouts in a gym specially built on set."

Kalank, which is set in the 1940's with the backdrop of the Partition is scheduled to release on April 19, 2019.

Karan Johar pronounced his dream project, Abhishek Varman’s Kalank recently. The movie will be set in 1940’s and has a big star cast- Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sonakshi Sinha.

The movie went on floors lately and David Dhawan, Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala were present on the sets. Alia Bhatt posted a photograph of the three of them and captioned it, “The men in RED and BLACK :) Day 1 of #Kalank calls for a visit to set from the 3 most important people! Varun Dhawan also posted a photograph of the producers, Karan and Sajid and shared, “It begins #kalank”. Varun also shared a photo of co-stars Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
