I am playing a de-glam role for the first time in Bareilly Ki Barfi, reveals Kriti Sanon!

Actress Kriti Sanon is all set to be seen in Bareilly Ki Barfi helmed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. She will be seen essaying the role a young, free spirited girl named Bitti.

Going by the trailer and the songs, we have completely loved Kriti's effortless act as a small town girl. Lately, during a communication with a media agency, the actress spoke about the film. She said, "For me, it’s the script. It’s the character that excites me. And that’s how I choose my films. I always want to explore new things as an actor."

Sanon added, "I am playing a small town girl for the first time. I am playing a girl from Uttar Pradesh for the first time. I am picking up a dialect for the first time. A de-glam role for the first time."

Bareilly Ki Barfi also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao in the leads. It is slated to release this week on August 18, 2017.

Bareilly Ki Barfi’s Twist Kamariya is lively number with desi tadka!

After making the audience go crazy over Sweety Tera Drama and Nazm Nazm, the makers of Bareilly Ki Barfi have revealed the new song from the movie, titled Twist Kamariya. The song features Kriti Sanon and Ayushmann Khurrana and is sure to get you grooving.

Composed by Tanishk-Vayu, and sung by Harshdeep Kaur, Yaseer Desai, Altamash and Tanishk, Twist Kamariya is a lively dance number with some desi beats. In the song, while Kriti is seen showing off her high-on-energy break dance moves, Ayushmann Khurrana is seen giving her company. The infectious energy and crazy steps are sure to tempt you.

Kriti, Ayushmann & Rajkummar get groovy in Bareilly Ki Barfi's song Sweety Tera Drama!

The very first song from Bareilly Ki Barfi is out. Titled Sweety Tera Drama, the track is picturised on the leads Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao.

In the music video, the entire cast gets together for a gala and dance their heart out. It's a fun watch to see Kriti breaking into break dance and Rajkummar-Ayushmann showing off their groovy moves.

As the movie is a love triangle, the jealousy in Ayushmann's eyes is noticeable throughout the song.

Sweety Tera Drama is sung by Dev Negi, Pawni Pandey and Shraddha Pandit. The lyrics are penned by Shabbir Ahmed and the music is given by Tanishk Bagchi.

Bareilly Ki Barfi is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and written by Dangal helmer Nitesh Tiwari. It is slated to release on August 18, 2017.

Its wrap up party for Kriti Sanon and Ayushmann Khurrana with Bareilly Ki Barfi!

Bollywood actors Kriti Sanon and Ayushmann Khurrana have finally wrapped up the shoot of their forthcoming movie Bareilly Ki Barfi. The film, which is being directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, went on-floors in October last year and is gearing up for a July release.

Kriti shared a photo of her and Ayushmann from the film's sets with a caption that read, "Wrapped Bareilly ki Barfi with a super fun colourful song!! @ayushmannk @ashwinyiyertiwari."

In an interview with an agency a few months back, when Kriti was questioned about the movie, she told, "It's sort of a quirky film and Nitesh Tiwari has written the script while his wife Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is directing it. She is an amazing director and Nitesh writes really well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the script."

She had further added, "The narration was another level because he reads it out even better. It's a fun film, got a quirky subject and will make you laugh for sure."

Bareilly Ki Barfi also stars Rajkummar Rao in a pivotal role and is slated to release on July 21, 2017.

Leggy lass Kriti Sanon, who is prepping for her role for "Bareilly Ki Barfi", tells she thoroughly enjoyed reading the script for the forthcoming movie.

"It's sort of a quirky film and Nitesh Tiwari has written the script while his wife Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is directing it. She is an amazing director and Nitesh writes really well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the script," Kriti said a close source.

The actress, who lately walked the ramp at India Beach Fashion Week 2017, tells the narration for the script was even better.  

"The narration was another level because he reads it out even better. It's a fun film, got a quirky subject and will make you laugh for sure," she further added.  

"Bareilly Ki Barfi" is directed by "Nil Battey Sannata" fame director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.

"Bareilly Ki Barfi", which is slated to release on July 21, is a romantic comedy rooted in the subculture of the north Indian city Bareilly.  

Apart from Kriti, the movie also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao.

The movie will feature Ayushmann as the owner of a printing press. Rajkummar will be seen as an author and Kriti as a straight-forward and liberated girl.
